I Am a Robot

Icy cold
metallic
clinical, calculations
stiff, sharp movements

With strength like god
and no morality to stop you
from tearing
this world
apart

Do you dream?
or do you only
think
solve
and destroy?

You beautiful,
cold, monster.

We

Sometimes we fear
Without reason
Sometimes we curse
And scream
And cry
Without provocation
Sometimes we hate
Without knowing why
Sometimes we keep secrets
That ache deep inside
Sometimes we think
Hateful, evil thoughts
Without meaning it
Sometimes we lie
Try so desperately
To hide
From our reality
Sometimes we try
To survive this
Terrible (Beautiful) life
And sometimes
We can't

Morality

The evil
that you so deeply fear
cannot be hidden from
It is no faceless thing
to be avoided

It lies
behind your child's eyes
It grows
in your neighbor's smile
It crawls
from your lover's body heat
It moves,
multiplies in the silence

And no matter how
fast you run
hard you pray
you can never
never escape
because this evil
this vile, obscene
putrid thing

lives
deep
inside you
feeding on your thought
on your actions
and on every single
violent dream.

She

honey brown skin
warm, soft
black angel hair
long, lovely

now lusterless
with dead doll eyes
and skin like parchment
cold, colorless
her deep red lips
now unable to utter
a single beautiful noise

a perfect, silent
motionless sculpture
until time
turns to dust
her pretty
little eyes

Little Mermaid

I float
dance along
the ocean floor

I glide
move along
my aquatic hell

I gasp
float along
as I try to inhale

My lungs fill
I struggle
I flail

The light dims
I sink down
deeper

Into the cold
unforgiving

grave
of
the
sea

Into the deep
where little fishies
will gnaw and nibble
at me

Past the Line of Sight

I'm teaching myself to blur the line. Distorting Depth; reality
Firing tiny bullets, no one can see. Changing life to one dimention.
You breathe the air I breathe.
But you can't see what I see.
I am.
But who am I?
I think
Breathe
But do I exist?
Am I real?
Hardly.
I'm teaching myself to change the tides. Dwelling hell; fantasy
Thinking little evils, invisible things
Seeing life in forms and colors
You see what I see,
But you could never ever believe
You are.
But not me.
Control
Losing
But never again.
Raining?
Always

Dancer

Caress me
with your kisses
you little delicate thing
with your soft, silent
quick and tiny breaths
and wings like the
stained-glass windows
of the cathedral
and as they pray
you dance
paint the air I breathe
with fragile beauty
Feeding flowers
with the dust
of another lovely
Creature
Visiting the minds
of dreamers
and children

The Process

Smash me
Break me down
Disassemble me
Piece by piece
And hate me

Gather me up
Repair me
Shape me
Into something
Beautiful
Amazing

And watch me rise
Like a phoenix
From the ashes

Chemicals

I can feel your heart beating
faster, faster

I close my mind
and fall
down
down
down

suddenly
I'm lost in the sound

My world becomes
the blood
pumping through your veins

My world becomes
the sound of your voice
muffled in my hair

I lose myself
sink, melt
in the warmth
and comfort
of

disillusionment

Down By the River

Color me red
with violence
Bind me
with that look you give
those words you say
Take me away
from myself
from the gods
overbearing
staring down at me
Create a silence
and listen
and as night falls
as you dream
alone, know that
there is no
structure
no sanity
no peace
on this earth
Swallow the chaos
and sleep soundly
deeply
color me
