I Am Back

My lovely friends
here on the soup
I am here
again with this group

Gone for sometime
but never away
close to my heart
you will aways stay

My Love to you
true friends of old
and new ones now
as time unfolds

Change

Rumbling sounds in the distance near
violence and heartache echos despair
where is saneness if any exist
loved ones trapped somewhere

Do we enter the place of blood, and tears
gathering a glimpse of a torn tomorrow
another war is brewing in the wind
imprinting the picture of sorrow

Greed can't survive on innocent land
there is no place for it to hide
things are revealed for all to know
nothing can grow on selfish lies

Listen to the winds of change calling
blowing across untouched meadows
we will be achors of stability
waiting to cast away shadows

Memory Lane

I stand here waiting
poison in my veins
one act of hate
to me he came

sad is the moment
my future is dim
my insides are dying
because of him

leaves I have now
blowing in the wind
but some say next year
they may not come again

I will live on
my memories they keep
standing on the corner
silently they weep

My Special Song

We became good friends
right here on the soup
true from the heart
everyone knew

Never a mean word
for those he loved
when I needed comfort
he gave me sweet hugs

Now an angel
in God's great mystery
taken away to soon
he left me to grieve

Sometimes he comes calling
when I am depressed
I miss him so much
this I confess

One special place
is his alone
in my mind and my heart
is his special song

Goodnight Moon
he would say to me
things will get better
this you will see

A poet in heaven
your special way
I will always love you
forever and a day

Time

Speak softly
feelings are real
watch your words
life is a big deal

handle your friends
as if an only child
keep good humor
love is in a smile

teach needed skills
to children in need
they are the future
plant good seeds

wisdom is guidance
from those who know
listen to the elders
sunshine to grow

pray a little prayer
sing a little song
life is waiting
time is ticking on

Today

Today I see a different world
people of difference helping as one
destruction has brought us together
neighbors helping neighbors
greatness will come from goodness.

So Fine

In my heart
wrapped in love
is where you will stay
I can never get enough

some can't see
the value you hold
but until the end
even when we are old

always and forever
two of a kind
me and you
love is so fine

Storms

Does anyone really have a clue
on the tragedy of debt
and not knowing what to do

can anyone understand anothers pain
living their daily life
between here and insane

natures path of destruction is clear
mile after mile
gone what once was here

kindness of others
with their hearts full of love
thank you so much can't be said enough

we are together
weathering the storms
friends making friends as new ones are born

Sad One

Sad one
dry your eyes
tomorrow is coming
forget their lies

Someone new
will hold your hand
someone new
will understand

Time does not wait
nor stand still
someday they will answer
I know they will

Absent from your life
their reasons unknown
but time has a way
of bringing us home

Keep on smiling
know who you are
tomorrow is coming
bringing a new star
