Memory Lane

I stand here waiting
poison in my veins
one act of hate
to me he came

sad is the moment
my future is dim
my insides are dying
because of him

leaves I have now
blowing in the wind
but some say next year
they may not come again

I will live on
my memories they keep
standing on the corner
silently they weep
