Milk and Cereal

Crispy leaves sipping Autumn's pour

car roofs collect and bathe in snow

milk and cereal for breakfast.

Calista

The river stood like a shadow watching them
rise with the sun of passion
and the horse gallops
now fade
into a thick mound of trees
Calista turned
to swallow the wind
with a thinning hope
gathering her pearl white gown
like beads into a hand
she gaped,
a shiny water mirror
an icon of the past
reflects
a moment
where love rivered through the air
where breaths sang
when she opened like
a lotus soft as skin
and passion bloomed
where ripples shimmer
to whispers
where tears run deep
and anger waits coiled
with fear
where she felt more like his slave
 than his princess.

Confessions In the Rain

impassioned sky mumbles tasteless rain
a soaking measly carapace collects muddy remains
weather overbears a confessing cloud.

Big Bad Wolf

-For Francine Roberts RED Contest-

hiding among red ark of fairytale fantasy
let me in, stub of your basket
let’s go through the river of pain
into your bare naked forest

Rainy Days

Stiff clouds swell over city
graying every muscle, brutal thunder voices
happy snails bother slippery walls.

Centipede

When you touch me
I circle like a centipede
following to the rhythm of its coiling body
as you fondle hunger with your eyes
and I
feed you with my soft cries

the moon washed in the sky’s water
draped in the sun’s golden threads of ray
mind influence hands
to take care of an entire
body
with lust flooding in

marrying the hands of time
to painted white pillow covers

struggle

and
I breathe in
a fresh air of you
warm to the heart
and such memories old
still
survive in the soul
cold.

Lost Bird

when
the
heart
is
perched
on a branch
listening
to some
music
it doesn't
want to hear
and lets in
that stranger
it doesn't
want by the door
it only wishes
for some mellow
wind
to carry it
to
a better place.

Jammed

We butter our souls
for the better bread
to arrive
but sadly no bread
is fresh
all are jammed.

Google and Wikipedia

How can I
confront you with a dark
forgotten past
when we
look forward
to better things in the future?

We grew so close
fell into the teenage trap
and its
long stemmed rose
knew each other’s history so well
like Google and Wikipedia
smiles flooded summer
curled in the rains
with love buckled to our hearts
eyes blur through memory’s mist
fine things
now going home
the sea swallowing sun
you rated my rules none
and it gets to me
it was only your love
I was after.
