Wonder If She Knows

Does your heartbeat race,
At the simple sight of me.
Nervous expressions across your face,
Thinking in my head, do you notice me?

Palms a sweaty fit,
Think I'm shaking just a bit.
Wasn't like this,
The first day we that we met.

Our eyes they meet,
The feeling so intense.
Staring at my feet,
The talk seems less and less.

You turn to walk away,
I pretend that i do.
When the winds of change sway your way,
I'll be there to notice you.

The Rise

So tired,so drained,

Yet energized and restrained.

Confused and enlightened,

Sometimes even frightened.

But my strength is my power,

And from that i will flower.

To take on these days,

And make them what may.

Hardships will bow down,

A new self i will have found

From the rubble of my crashes,

To my rise from the ashes.

Same

The mistakes i have made,

The people left dismayed.

This person is not me,

So why can't they see.

The heart & emotion,

The fire, the devotion.

Within you, am i,

In i, you reside.

Never to be apart,

Together from the start.

All of us the same,

United without shame.
