You Professed Your Love

You professed your love....

Sweet, like a rose in a
blossoming spring,
Warm, like your chestnut eyes
as you smile,
Entangled with promises,

...but not to me.

Unfinished Christmas

It was the eve of Christmas in the shoe-like
dwelling,
A night of bygone Christmas days retelling.
But by the stroke of twelve they were all snug in
their beds,
Cradled with blankets of knitted threads.

The crackling fire left their cheeks the gentlest
bloom,
Rosier than the angel who looked upon the room.
But then the clock began to chime as if to tell,
That somewhere nearby rang a faint silver bell.

Joe

His frost bitten nose,
Scarlet like blood,
His blanket a cardboard box,
Under the ledge,
He sought shelter,
But luck with him was not.

A velvet cap scarce with
pennies,
Guilt ridden coins,
For all were cut with careless
greed,
And intentions good were not.

His heart heavy and eyes
longing,
Cast across the sky
A final hour,
A final wish,
A meal for the night.

December and Now

Go on,just keep walking,
It's not like we're talking.
Don't act like you don't remember.
How you were in December.

Your voice,you think I can't hear,
But it stands out, loud and clear.
Keep on shouting late at night,
Shoving me out of your sight.

Continue all the things you already do,
Soon it will be only you.
Stop and please just see,
What you are doing to me.

But then of course, you don't care,
And you will never be there.
Just fade away into the dark,
You've already made your mark.

I Miss You and Hate You

I can't bear to listen,
Or remember how your eyes glisten.
It's tormenting me all the time,
Because you will never be mine.

I would run a mile,
To see your devastating smile.
And to hear your laugh,
That broke my heart in half.

I miss our midnight talks,
And the moonlit walks.
The music that we use to hear,
And most of all, having you near.

But there are some things I hate,
How I would sit around and wait.
How you left me all alone,
Or spoke to me in that tone.

It's still not fair,
That I'm not there.
And I'm sitting here feeling blue,
Because I left my heart with you.

Books

While everyone was asleep,
After counting all the sheep.
I sat in my bed by the candlelight
And the darkness captured the night.

A new book on my lap,
That had a special map.
It lead me to a story,
With brave heroes and glory.

Waiting for the characters to leap off the page,
After one of them fought with rage.
How I wanted the forest to come out and unwind,
Leaving no trace of my room behind.

Each book of mine had a special scent,
That was carried with it,wherever we went.
My books have travelled far and wide,
On the beach, watching the tide.

I love my old friends,
Whose spine bends.
Unleashing a mystery,
With a deep history.

Mischief and quests,
I'm completely obsessed.
With each and every tale,
Where a crook ends up in jail.

And the peasants become wealthy,
The sick become healthy.
The dying are cured,
After all the pain they had endured.

So leave all your games,
And all your famous names.
Come sit by the fire,
Be ready to be inspired.

Hatred

So you think you can bring him round for fun,
You think he will replace the other one.
Though he's not any better, merely scared,
They have been few,the times we've shared.

Go on, keep messing with my head,
I'll just continue crawling in my bed.
With my rabbit seeking for a place,
Where I don't have to see your face.

Unless you haven't been watching me,
Or maybe you are as blind as can be.
But I do not forgive or forget,
Or accept any other threat.

I'm sick and tired of what you say,
And I won't listen anyway.
It's not only me who is making a fuss,
You've betrayed all of us.

You,over there do I even cross your mind,
You think you will come back and find.
Us together in one piece,
Well guess what we've moved to Greece.

Far away isn't it?Like you care,
Sure I'm not being fair.
But unlike you I have been torn inside,
And I use to search far and wide.

For you,I use to cry myself to sleep,
Because the pain cut me too deep.
I was too young to let hatred take over me,
So I'll just go sit by the sea.

And try to clear all my memories when,
He'll still be here now and then.
Don't you feel the slightest thing,
Doesn't the tiniest bell ring.

Not seeing you for three whole years,
On my face, are dripping tears.
Leave me alone then, and in return,
Your pictures I will burn.

It will be like you were never here,
Though I'll still hate you,my dear.

Learning From Love

The feeling comes without warning,
Bright, like the sun rising in the morning.
It completely takes over your mind,
As both your futures become twined.

The scent of sweetness,
There is no time for discreetness.
Just take their hand,
And wonder through no man's land.

Without love,you are dying,
And you find yourself constantly sighing.
Because nothing else is as mesmerizing,
And to yourself you don't like lying.

When you felt like you were grasping air,
There was always someone there to care.
And now you are lost without them,
Like a flower without a stem.

So nobody is there to support,
What is in your every thought.
Go running back,
Find the courage that you lack.

And beg for a different ending,
Because you have stopped pretending.
That your life story is written to perfection,
So you are finally walking in a different direction.

A Poem For You Mother

I ran and ran but you never knew,
That all this time I did it for you.
I stayed awake all night,
The sleep I would fight.

But when I dreamed and you were there,
I had somebody to care.
To take the monsters away,
To sing to me all day.

To read to me everytime,
I was yours and you were mine.
I was so small in your arms,
You kept me away from all the harms.

I wore a dress and you a skirt,
You were always up and alert.
Even at work when you were gone,
Your love for me just shone.

I am not saying this for any other,
Yes I'm writing about you mother.

Your Eyes

Your blue eyes instantly pierce me,
And hold me down so I can't be free.
I'm looking into the deepest of shades,
And the noise around me fades.

I'm locked into a mesmerizing stare,
And this moment that we share.
Will be on my mind all day,
There's no need to say.

That you capture me with one glance,
And I don't stand a chance.
