A Poem For You Mother

I ran and ran but you never knew, That all this time I did it for you. I stayed awake all night, The sleep I would fight. But when I dreamed and you were there, I had somebody to care. To take the monsters away, To sing to me all day. To read to me everytime, I was yours and you were mine. I was so small in your arms, You kept me away from all the harms. I wore a dress and you a skirt, You were always up and alert. Even at work when you were gone, Your love for me just shone. I am not saying this for any other, Yes I'm writing about you mother.
