Step Into My Shoes

Lets travel across ages,
To a time that cannot be;
My character, attitude,behavior,
Through my parent's eyes lets see.

"The day you were born,
Old memories will always be there,
First time you in my arms,
From beautiful eyes to pretty pretty hair.

Cherished and admired every moment,
All cute things done as a child,
Happiness in spending time with you,
Whether you were soft or wild.

Proud moments came my way,
The day you went to school,
Small achievements began...like
Your first lap across the pool.

Music became your voice,
With your feet dancing all the way,
Artist, dancer...how many??
Cluless..i would probably say.

Days passed, you grew up,
From a kid to a teen;
The perfect logic of the world,
Misunderstandings making you mean.

The way you acted and reacted,
When i wanted to show you care,
Although weird in your context,
Made our quality times very rare.

When you realised your attitude,
Although it was a little late,
I could always forgive cause
Love can never become hate.

Getting back to ourselves
Joy exceeding boundaries in life,
Had the best times on earth,
Till you got promoted to a wife.

Understanding though your married
And living life all new,
Whenever, whatever be the situation
I will always love you.

Your the best thing that ever happened to me
I guess now you realise it,
With the birth of another life through you
Your love for all of us has to split.

Hope you enjoy everyday with your kid,
Like how i did with you,
I will still be there with you always
Till God makes me say adieu.

I know you will love and miss me more;
My departure will definitely bring down a tear,
My soul and spirit rests with you,
Cause you will always be my Dear."

The Other Side of Me

Remember how we wrote our names,
Across the sky and made it shine?
How this big great world
Seemed like just yours and mine?

Remember those wonderful old days;
When life was just one beautiful song?
Why were we happy even in the worst of times?
Maybe we were just the right kinda wrong!

Remember spending all our time admiring each other?
It seems like just yesterday.
Getting back to that golden era,
Looks like there is no possible way.

Remember the true love we shared?
Pride in others being happy for us clearly seen.
Now that you got into hiding;
The world acts like one huge drama queen.

Remember the care you took,the promise you made;
That you will never leave me whatever i do?
Breaking it all you suddenly vanished,
Without leaving even the slightest clue.

Lets reveal your identity;
Everyone is wondering who you could possibly be,
I know you better than anyone else ever can;
Cause your my perfection, the other side of ME

I,Me,Myself

Lets travel over the mountains,
Across the seven seas;
It will be the best with just me,
Cause only I can give me peace.

Misfortunes in the end teach us
In this gratitude less land,
One to always wipe away tears
Will be my own hand.

While travelling fast down the street,
The cool breeze hits your face.
The journey of happiness experienced
Makes it worth the pace.

Playing on the beach alone;
Waves always come back to you.
Unlike people in this strange world,
Who leave without even a single clue.

Relationships cease whatever be the form;
Aquaintances making me blue.
Cause I was strong in my belief,
That everything said and done was true.

Expectations lead to dissappointments
Cause everything was just a pose.
We always seem to forget,
That there are thorns too in a rose.

When life pushes me to a situation
To hits bulls eye with a dart,
The source of life always with me
Will be the beat of my own heart.

When I reach a point in my life,
Where I get to shine;
I will be the most happiest,
Cause this life is finally just mine.

I just cannot imagine,
How difficult it would be;
If the Lord up there,
Hadn't made me me.
