Dreamers

Living life inside a dream,
Just to me it seems that
Surrealism is serene…

And no one will comply,
To busy asking questions, why?
Too busy to even give it a try.

Swallow the pain of life,
Relax in your own strife,
Accept, and it will be all right.

So now it occurs to me,
A dreamer will always see,
The realm of possibility.

Simple, Just Look.

Built up to be broken down
That’s really how I feel..

I can’t believe it happened now
To me it can’t be real..

Beneath this rugged barrier
Lays a longing to be loved..

Although you may not be perfect
You’re the one I’m thinking of.

1000 Truths

Sunlight opened up my eyes to see through this false disguise. “A ruse is no excuse for the abuse of the truth,” He yells, She cries. Always lies, too dedicated to be complicated, Always aggravated never titillated, Who could ever understand? Take a glance into the past And see the lives you’ve changed, See the lives you’ve rearranged and played like its some game. A simple word or two won’t hurt Don’t bother play it safe, Because in the end the one who wins will tell us who to blame. But it isn’t you now is it? So full of your deceit, You get away scott free Still spreading lies and disbelief. An evil smirk, a stifled laugh The truth is elusive; you cannot find its path But the moments I have known it, console is not mine, for in the unforgiving truth, pain is all you’ll find.

A Woman

How could you explain?
Can something so very lovely bring one man so much pain?
Can something so simple seem to touch your inner soul?
Can a notion of her interest make certain things occur?...
I see it in her eyes, a fit of potent ferocity,
Who could ask me to deny a gift, your loveless generosity.
The fire in your heart, it burns like love’s eternal flame,
The passion of the night has turned excitement into shame.
At this moment it seems to me my pride may have been stolen,
By a beautiful beast,
The trick of treats,
An unforgiving,
Woman.

Graced

Finding grace, too hard to pace,
My peace is now a rarity.

Moments weaved like silk and lace,
To finish or to bear with me?

Restless nights are torture; I wonder what you really mean,
Frantic thoughts filled with angst are only calmed inside a dream.

Mixed Emotions

Every time I see your face
It takes me to a different place
Somewhere that I don’t have to hide
But the constant tick and tock of a nearby clock
Reminds you that it’s time to go…
And now you’ll leave me here alone…
I put my arms around you and think
				“Please don’t go”
My eyes shut so tight I don’t even know

Then I awake from my self-induced slumber
Time itself has stopped it shackles now do not encumber
The world itself has stopped to see the miracle that’s begun
I stand in awe to see the wondrous things that you have done
The beautiful things are so hard to comprehend,
That may be the reason why I can’t understand you
I just know I’m the happiest person in the world,
Whenever I’m around you.

Who Knows

Who could resist? I’m more than something special,
The rest though, forgettable, even that you better know.
I’m the best you’ve ever had, the best there ever will be,
The best to ever walk the world my presence is appealing.
But this is not the real me, this is a façade,
The time has come to pick apart the pieces that have sought---
So much of your attention, so much of your desire,
The subtle love you have for me I will not let expire.
I’ll reignite the flames to show you things you never saw,
It’ll reignite the pains to show me what I’m waiting on.
I’ll show you the remains of love that’s lost and love to come,
Because I’ve played this game enough to tell you who had won.

The World

I’ve seen the world in black and white, all distinct no shaded gray,
Where good is well and evil dwells in all souls led astray.

I’ve seen the world in vivid colors, robust reds, pinks and greens,
It seems that these release a peace of which all people need.

In myself I find neither, but in you I see them all,
My empty husk, my hollowness has been breached and left appalled.

By Happiness, Fulfillment… Jealousy and Rage.
Amplified by Loneliness, too sick to disengage.

I’ve seen the world in black and white all distinct no shaded grey,
In time my love; the time will come, when hearts will find their way.

The End

I’m on the brink,
	   The edge of existence,
I feel distant from all unknowing victims.
Because The Truth is in my mind,
But to speak I’ll be denied,
And so my only reply will be,
					“Hello,”
    					    And,
				        “Goodbye…”
