Emily

She sat ‘neath a large chestnut tree
With roses in her hair
And sang a tune so mild, so free
Such voice! so pure and fair

Her eyes were dark with shining light
Her cheeks were rosy too
Her lips, they form a smile so bright
It caused the birds to coo

A boy stood far and viewed her face
Afraid to thither go
He watched her so for many days
Whilst making sighs of low

She stands up; walks so far away
My lovely Emily
I see her leave and mourn a day
Will ever she love me?

He

He's tall, he's nice, he's funny, cute
And me, my heart now plays a flute
It plays a tune with joyful rings
It plays a tune that smiles it brings
He makes me go all squealy-squeal
And dreamy states I start to feel
I start to laugh and grin alone
I start to stare hard at the phone
I wonder why and wonder now
I got into this situation somehow

A Story Left Untold

The air is cold; the wind blows strong
The rain pelts on the ground
The leaves they quiver; sing sad songs
On love that’s never found

The dark, grey sky hangs overhead
The moon its only light
Like a shadow big and full of dread
It casts a gloom on sight

My feet are damp, my skin is wet
I shiver while I breathe
A pain I’m trying to forget
While I sob, weep, and sniff

A sorrow lingers in my eyes
That struggles to escape
I scream, I yell, I shout, I cry
I can’t accept my fate

Never can I ever trust;
Have faith in naught a soul
This searing pain shall ever last
A story left untold.

Nature Falls

Towards the woods I made my way
And trees of green there lay
Swaying in the gentle breeze
With branches in the mist

The leaves they sing a rustling song
The birds they fly in lines of long
The leaves the branches try to hold
Afraid to lose them in the cold

The trees give whispers to each other
Speaking through the winds that shudder
Beauty was all on my mind
And helped my troubled heart to chime

With sudden change the axemen came
Their swinging weapons left untamed
Hewn were trees from trunk to trunk
What's left of them were wooden chunks
And when one falls the others weep
With painful sighs, the sadness they keep

"Oh my Lord, thou save us! Save us!
Blades that hurt and blades that rust
Blades that put us in sleeps that's cursed
Blades from men that's full of lust
Save us! Save us! Wilt thou save us!"

Those were sobs the trees cried out
Trees of tall and trees of stout
Trees of young and trees of old
Those were the words that were told
With sadness and eternal fear
And from thy's eyes there came a tear

Standing Tall

I lift my head and see the sky
So blue, so clear, so high
A bird flies by and beats its wings
A merry tune it sings

A breeze now whispers in my ear
Releasing all my fears
My aching heart, my teary eyes
Starts to vanish with a sigh

A patter of feet on the grass
While children’s laughter pass
They run, they play, they jump and dance
And even tried to prance

The smile I long begin to creep
Upon my sorrowed lips
I watch the peace around me flow
Whilst my heart starts to glow

It’s not the end, life’s moving on
I must not again mourn
For past is past, I must stand tall
And rise in every fall
