There’s a gulf
A divide
It’s as wide
As Mexico
From the inside
Out to the borderlines
There’s a cause
Raisin d’être
In your head
In the mess yeah
I’m buried in
A sea of broken dreams
There’s a river
And a canyon
And I’m stranded
Cuz I’m standing
On the corner
Hands reaching out
Are you there?
Do you care?
It’s not your fault
I’m standing here
People like me
Everywhere
There’s a difference
A separation
Widening

L’escalier To the stars
Let’s take the stairs marcher trop fort
Let’s ascend to the sky
Le ciel infinite n’ high
Merci Madame I’ll give it a try
My girl ma pomme in my eye
Let’s carry on together
My amour my love my life
Let’s spend June sur la lune
Let’s sing chanter c’est tout
L’escalier to the stars
Le soleil shines on the moon, too

I saw it once as it was
And today as it is
But never as it ought to be
I knew her once as she was
And today as she is
Like I’ve never known her to be
So we were once as we were
And today I’m not too sure
If it’s true we ought to be
So here we are just for once
For today or maybe months
Perhaps we should wait and see

From one cell
We all came to dwell
Related one way or another
To the chimpanzees
The worms and the trees
And the pigs we send to slaughter
Through survival needs
We grew some knees
And we crawled out of the water
We went through some change
At times it was strange
But no stranger than any other
Time
One truth we know we are
Between Mars and Venus
I’m pretty sure there’s nothing else
That’s ever seen us
Its a fact we’d adapt
If something came to visit
A one toothed man
Chewing on a peanut
The no eyed salamander
Living underneath us
It’s a fact we’d adapt
Survival of the fittest
From one cell
We all came to dwell

From one pond
The human race belonged
Back when the world was hotter

lonely road
It’s long and straight
dark and cold
And the sun
burns my eyes
Then the moon
turns to coal
Is this the end?
No one knows
how long you last

My eyebrows are caterpillars
Sleeping on the orbital stump
There are worms in my nose
Tangled and heaped
My mouth is a horse
And a dry crow lives in my underpants
My ears are fledgling echo chambers
Plugged with lit candles
A plum for a chin
Tiny little eye balls; ballettes
Lidded down to a slivered onion
Sunken in dark lonely sockets
Breath of a billy goat’s death
And 6 black pebbles for teeth
Thinning chicken skin cracking on my neck
Ants in my armpits with a hive of killer bees in my mind
Scared hair everywhere
Lost little man
Shadowless
Suffice it to say I avoid mirrors
