May Blossom

Caressed by the Earth you are a selected one,
Destined to prosper under the enduring Sun.
Urged forth you begin a deliberate grow,
Impatient at first, disappointed when slow.
Touched by a raindrop to refresh your resolve,
To never bow down or tremble to fall.
Reach for the heavens to view your cause,
Look about at the worldly fascinations that awe.
You are no part of this empty darkness unlit,
Splendid is your light and warmth is your gift.
Poise and pursue to put life in perspective,
Wanting only purpose and meaning to life.
This is why you are cherished each and everyday,
You could be nothing else, for this is your way.
Be glad for the wisdom you profoundly display,
A beautiful beginning each 5th day of May.

The Ocean's Majesty

Pay homage Earth dwellers and bow before its' majesty,
Look and listen to the crash for each shore there is calamity.
An ongoing clash of two Titans at war,
The soil is besieged made ready to plunder.
The rocks have their strength to persevere for a time,
Battered and beaten their fate no less unkind.
Proud and unmovable are the trees before this royalty,
Reach for the heavens and maintain Earthly loyalty.
Woe to the presumptuous one that makes no haste,
All will perish under this force and laid waste.
Life is the constant on Earth and in the kingdom.
Tolerance will prevail and there will be balance.
The subjects know well of the sovereign reign,
The Ocean's Majesty forever untamed!

I Love

I adore her with all my love of unspoken words.
I love her for the warmth and smiles brought to my world.
I cherish her for the passion in the way she loves me.
I can not imagine my life without her.
I have found content in heart because she is with me.
I know joy and happiness she has made real.
I understand my strength for she believes in me.
I know weakness on one knee because she has touched me.
I know patience and endurance in her care for others.
I experience laughter in the silly things we do.
I know sorrow by the look of pain in her eyes.
I have hurt in my heart just trying to love her.
I can't wait to get home to see her again!
I, oh I can't wait to see her again.
I love her for so many different reasons.
I thank God she is the women who is my Wife.

A Child

Truth and innocent is the heart of a child,
Unconditional love is given for awhile.
The world has yet to corrupt this mind,
The little ones are spared for a time seemingly kind.

Woeful ways not ingrained for it is not time,
There is much to experience and discerning of signs.
Knowledge is gathered and put into play,
It is kept to the fore and presumptuously displayed.

The ways of the world will soon take bounty,
The great masses will toil and be made lonely.
Who will uplift the child of want?
Provide for their needs, turn away not!

Reflection

Consider the thoughts that occupy your mind,
Give cause their meaning and ponder for a time.
Separate yourself from all empty darkness,
Where aggravation has labored long to yield unfruitfulness.

Sort through the chaos and let go of the pain,
Feed truth with pure love and you will sustain.
No words can belong to the reflection of time,
We are a visitor to our own memories, a traveler of time.

How will you know what course to take?
What warrants merit or that feeds the fire?
Acknowledge the good but recognize the evil,
Seek to understand your own heart's desire.

Free yourself from the burden built upon many years,
Lay waste to the troubles that hold you back.
Reflect for a moment but stay the course,
Be at peace with yourself, struggle no more.

Heavens Above

Quietly I view the nightly heavens above,
Hearing the beat of my heart amidst the twinkling darkness.
Entranced by the vastness and splendor I see.
Wondering what fascinations that await.
Streaks of lightly shaded colors dancing about in every known direction.
Chaos and destruction with a recognizable purpose.
A clash that forms a common spectacle.
Blinding brilliance that capture the scene.
Massive emptiness grasping forever's end.
Endless space a never ending dream.
The warmth of a new dawn causing covered eyes.
Pulled back to the place of origin. 
Exhausted and weak from this recent journey.
I awake feeling refreshed ready to start over.
To quietly view the daily heavens above.

Each second of time will be lost forever,
Now is your chance for worthwhile endeavor.
Do not presume the next beat of your heart.
Demand not the dawn of a new day.

Embrace the essence of your life.
Take joy in your ability to love.
Be consumed by your care for others.
Practice the art of happiness.
Overwhelm yourself with joyful tears.
Ache in your heart from the pain and ugliness of the world.
Lend your smile at no cost with opened hands.
Go a great distance for one good deed.
Persevere for those that depend on you.

Where do you focus your lens of life?
Pictures do tell of life's struggles and strife.
Developed into memories of a self portrait.
Over time more familiar of whom we are.
Each event but a glimpse of a picture story.
The birth of a child or the death of a loved one.
Change of the season and of growing old.
The pain of the world and the hungry little children.
The abundance of smiles drowned out by tears.
The beauty of mother Earth and her nature.
Looking up at the night sky wondering if we are all alone?
Starring at the mirror to view our own mortality.

One moment endures to timeless end,
Captured and embraced until forever's end.
Sustaining me now to hold on true,
Nourishing my soul like nothing I ever knew.
Fulfilling my life and strengthening my will,
Pushing me forward to this very day still.
Enduring the pressing day that lowers my head,
Lending your smile amidst all of the dread.
Uplifting my heart to swelling devotion,
Filling my eyes with watery emotion.
Exhausting the mind and body close follows,
