My Love

My Love, brandon kane

Your skin glows like the apple, blossoms nice as the rose in the purest hope of spring.
My yearning heart rises to your violin voice and leaps like a dolphin at the whisper of
your name, brandon kane.
The evening ascends in on a great mocking bird wing.
I am calmed by your polo that I carry into the twilight of beachbeams and hold next to my
eyes.
I am filled with hope that I may dry your tears of water.
As my mouth falls from my skinny jeans, it reminds me of your north gate.
In the hushed, I listen for the last crash of the spring.
My heated ear leaps to my shoes. I wait in the crystal moonlight for your secret frankies
so that we may kissing as one, ear to ear, in search of the glorious blue and spiritual
bed of love.

Caged

I looked at the world through
my silver gray bars.
Sad and alone
the only thing I could do was
reach out and feel the
wind on my fingers.
Trapped in by the sadness,
guilt, and pain i felt.
I was held back by
the fear and unknown
thoughts of the world
i could never enter.
But when i reached out for help no one
would ever take my hand.
I became a scared caged in
bird that learned not to trust.
That loneliness was my only friend i learned to
lock up my heart never
to be hurt again.
But one day you came
and reached in and asked for my hand.
You unlocked the cage I set in i held
tightly to your hand as you led me into
the world that was unknown the
world I thought I would never enter.
You wiped away the tears as they fell
and your kindness blew away my fear and sadness.
I entered the world that
I could only see through my
silver bars
As I hold your hand i take
my first steps in to a new
beginning.

Freedom

Walk the wooden deck of the boat I was tied and shackled to. Feel the sun as it reaches down to the cotton fields I have picked, burns the ground and singes the skin dark as the night that calls for us all to find our freedom. Hold the chains that weigh on my soul and bind me to the man we are forced to call master. Trace the scars on my back that tell the story of how my will was broken, stepped on and left to die in a place only my ancestors can call their home, which I can only describe as a long story forgotten, and the tellers too far gone for their words to be heard. Look through my tired weary eyes that have seen too many scenes of red tears, last breaths and grave diggers to last one too many generations. Come sit, turn on the oil lamp who is too weak to even give off the illusion of something bright squint your eyes and sound out the letters connect each word, form each sentence that read out the directions to finding our freedom.

Thunder and Lightning

I cover my ears
As I sit in my closet.
As the thunder echoes through
The quiet empty house
And the lightning flashes in the
Sky.
I cry as the pain full
Memories rush back.
As my heart starts
To hurt so much I
Can barley take it.
I hear the screams in my head and I touch
My scars and start to
Remember the pain.
The tears roll down my
Face as I jump at each
Sound of the storm.
As they remind me
Of the past and all of the pain.
I cry because of the pain
I felt
And the love I did not have.
In the storm
A 14 year old girl cries
In the thunder and lightning
She hears screams.
Her heart beats at the sound of
The rain
As she remembers her
Past and pain.

When the World Ends

When the world ends
the water will run cold
the winds will blow still and
the sky will fall.
The gods will weep and
the people will scatter
fire will rise and eat us alive
all will be lost
When the world comes to and end.

The lakes and oceans will
turn to blood
the lives of all will
end
Time will stop and
freeze forever
When the world comes to an end.

The cry's from hell
will rise and sing all
around us
And the sky will turn pitch
black
heaven and hell will
collide

everything will
be no more
The mountains wil fall
and
all will be
nothing
when the world comes to and end.

I Can'T Breathe

I can't breathe because I'm being drowned by my own tears
Afraid for my present that I can't even think about the future
I'm feeling more and more lost because slowly my hope is being lost
How can you tell me that all men are equal when one one can get away with murder and the other is still fighting to be seen in a better light
Why should I feel bad about the color of my skin, why should I have to regret the family I was born in, why should I have to be afraid to let my father go anywhere alone because I'm afraid something might happen and he won't make it back all because his skin is black.
I can't breathe because I'm being smothered by injustice, by prejudices, but stereotypes, by judgements and comments,
They say it has to get worse before it gets better but how much worse can it get than this, and how much longer do I have to wait for the better instead of hearing it from others
How can you tell me my life matters when there are too many history facts, too many court rulings that scream out it doesn't
I can can see the rope around my neck that was placed there at birth tighten as I get older, this is what they use to keep us in check.
I can't breathe I scream but you only hear it as a whisper
God knows I love America but how much does it love me

Can I Tell You My Secrets

can i tell you my secret?
a secret so sad that your eyes fill
and you start to cry
a secret so sad that you

could never imagine
can i tell you my secret?
a secret so horrible that it makes you
want to die

a secret so horrible that
you quiver in fear
can i tell you my secret?
a secret of happiness

a happiness that never ends
can i tell you my secret?
a secret of betrayal that cuts
you so deep it will never heal

can i tell you my secret?
a secret of love and pain that
if i tell you my heart has been hurt and beats no more
you are willing to give me yours

so will you keep all my secrets?
these secrets i hold dear
will you lock them away never to be heard?
to only you i whisper these secrets

i ask you now once more
can i tell you my secrets?

No Second Chances

Life gives no favors
Life gives no second chances
So if I fall
I fall till the end

No going back
To a past mistake
Can’t get back up
Can’t turn around

I’ve made one, two many mistakes
And now I can’t go back
I’m tied up in ropes
And chains and

I’m being pulled
Down towards hell
To late to say sorry to
Late to cry out to god

Life shows no remorse
Life shows no mercy
Life sheds no tears for your pain
To late to turn back

It all ends here
Life gives on favors
Life gives no second chances
Can’t turn back

Can’t get back up
Life is over
And I’m walking the
Path I’ve chosen

Violin

First you hear it
Its sweet and soft
So quiet and loving
You hear its sweet voice singing
Among all others
Then it gets louder and louder
the notes warped around you like a
Warm blanket you cant
Help but listen to its sweet
And beautiful melody
Then it starts to sing but
Now its angry and
The notes get faster and faster
Its like a tornado mixing everything
Together but you
Cant help but to listen to
the violins sweet angry melody
Swarming around you like a hive of bees
Its addicting, its thrilling, its calming, and peaceful
All raped up in one
But soon its sweet voice slows and the end is
Near you listen
As the anger turns to sadness
And then its voice just
Disappears

One Deadly Bite

You stand there your
Heart beat slows and
You stare in to his deadly yellow eyes
You want to run but your legs wont move

You hear him howl as he lowers his head and growls as
If saying go ahead try and
Run

You stand there surrounded by
Trees no one but you and him
He digs his paws in to the
Ground as if he was about to

Pounce
Can’t move can’t scream
Can’t breath can’t do a thing
But wait for the deadly

Beast to unleash its bite to end it all
A single drop of sweat falls down my face
He watches it drop as if time has stopped
Just then you make a dash and he

Smiles just a little
Thinking great fast food
He bends down and he sprints after you
He’s on your heels and you hear him
Growl

You fall and roll and he stands over you
You look in his yellow eyes and they
Say bye-bye
Last thing you see it the moon lit
Sky

Then it’s all over with
One deadly bite
