I surrender

How sad, a mere mortal can promise forever?
In any context, forever doesn't exist,
Forever falls apart sooner or later,
Or when they say it gets better soon,
How long is soon? Good far is it?
How can a pathetic human foretell the future?
How do you know I'll be better? Or even if I will be or not?
How do you know what's in my brain? You know the words I tell you.
The pieces I pick out and display to show I'm not perfect, but hide the ones to scare you off,
How can you say I know you when I don't know myself?
I don't wanna grow up, I don't plan to.
Not in a nostalgic way, but in a way I won't exist.
I won't exist for that future, no matter if it's better or not,
I don't want to live in this world,
And if I end up sending myself to hell, I hope that fire gives me warmth.
I hope it's comforting like how my mother's arms are supposed to be, or I hope I burn until I don't feel.
You say I don't care about you if I wanna leave, I'm selfish I agree, I'm a hypocrite, but you'd want to see your friends fine too? Even if you're not.
Fixing others when you can't hold your own pieces together.
How can I get better, when I've seen people still the same,
How much effort can I make when my hands get cracks and I can't lift?
How much can I bear, when a ship sinks if too full?
How do I hold the pieces when I have two hands and the shards are too many, cutting into me as I gather.
i simply cannot bear this

what depression feels like

a glass room, with a single hole.
filling with water from all sides,
you'll see it coming, but wont be able to control.

no matter how much you try,
you'll float but wont breath,
drown but wont die.

at times you wont feel real,
at times you wont feel a thing.
or maybe you'll feel too much,
your eyes will drop, arms will sting.

here's the truth, you cant escape;
it'll chase you around,
stick to you, a forever weight.
a shadow you cant escape,
you wont know what or whom to hate.

it'll feel like an illusion,
or a movie your staring at,
not understanding a thing, but your the lead actor.
or like a play on stage, a script you wrote but wont recognize.

you'll watch yourself, but see a stranger,
you'll smile around but it'll feel like a weapon.
you'll try and try, but u cant run, my dear
your own reflection, you'll start to fear.

the monster is you,
your own mind is the room,
your own thoughts are the water,
but you cant save yourself from yourself.

why run?

Around she goes
Dancing on stage,
A prance to hide,
A smile which cries.

She spins around,
Vertigo overcoming.
She sauté's with deadly grace,
As she tries to reach.

The ground cracks,
Opening a void,
She tried so hard to leave,
Now stuck anew.

A darkness swallows,
As she falls back,
To accept it or escape she thinks,
But she can't really,
She shall run but can't hide.

No matter how far,
It always catches up.
Worse each time,
But no one sees.

Why not just accept it?
Enjoy the darkness,
Give up hope,
Does it matter with ur little life?

Why bother if u can't run,
If you can't escape the silent chase,

Like hide n seek in a barren land,
Or running on a treadmill hoping to reach.

heathen

A heathen, a stone,
A cut that doesn't bleed.
A clown, a shapeshifter
We’re all one of these.

A closet full of masks,
Not sure which to wear
Carrying stones on my back
Not sure to put where.

We all hide stuff,
Indeed we all lie.
I keep it locked, away
Out of sight yet not out of mind.

When there's an urge, and i slip it out
How simply pathetic,
In the moment self control doesn't count
So ill hide the rest, laugh out the week
But my mask becoming a sieve,
The weight more than my own
I simply cannot carry it
Hold it alone.

The urge to give out,
Call life at quits.
But i have no right, i am simply a vessel,
Of my thoughts and shouts,
Laughs and pains,
Loses and gains.

So i let some out, feeling bad after
Keep some in, staining my laughter

masks

A hundred masks which one to use?
A hundred dreams which one to lose,
Now here I lay, a shadow of myself,
A ghost of the personality I had,
A mask off charades I play,
A card I choose everyday.

How many layers exist inside,
One happy, one sad, and one love derived.
An empty one, I push to fill;
The contents always fall out,
Leaving me nauseated still.

So a game i play everyday,
Some chess, dress up, a disarray
Until I'm left to clean the mess,
Only to realize I forgot which face I had.
Makeup for my personality,
Until I don't have remover left.

So I layer it on, one by one,
Buried so deep I locked myself.
So much absence, what do I feel?
What to leave and what to heal;

But passes another day,
With my masks and disarray,
As they say, you have to pretend to actually fall asleep,
So I go manic, wether too much or too less to feel,
The mask might melt but it's glued so deep,
Taking it off is too much to see

think

What a curse it is that I think,
Let my thoughts drown me,
Till it wraps around my throat,
Till darkness is all I can see.

I try to stay occupied,
Not to be lone.
The thought of being alone with myself scares me.

The more you think, the worse it gets.
The more you know, the more you ache.
Or maybe my soul is just too pessimistic
Maybe my darkness is fake?

I drove myself to the darkness..

performance

Your eyes swollen from the tears no one sees,
Your throat is dry from screaming to a god who doesn't listen,
Your legs tremble from running after something that doesn't exist,
You bleed but the blood is on your own hands for it.

You bask and twirl, showing grace,
Your dress flows along, designed with lace,
A pretty white, pearls and beads,
Your hair put up, face unseen,
You dance a show, elegant and nice
You change your makeup, once or twice,
Or should I call it a disguise?
A pretty face to hide the vice.

The white turns red,
Your fingers drip,
Still you dance, and screaming begins,
The curtains fall, your mask melts,
The lilies replaced with a rotten smell

You perform for others, maybe even yourself,
Maybe that's why you can't seem to love yourself,
The metallic scent will fill the air
Until no one will wanna be around you,
The white lillies stained red
The curtains torn, stage a wreck,
Glass on the floor, barefoot you.
Still you'll dance, twirl and jump.
Ashes will fall, along with fire,
You'll hold it close for warmth you want
Your arms will swell, turn red and burn
Still you'll hold on, until there's nothing left.
No stage, no audience, not even you.

i am ruin

As its all going well,
i fit the norms,
i go out allot,
everything seems perfect.

i forgot perfect doesn't exist,
i forgot reality isn't mine to lead,
and the palace i built stick by stick,
burnt to ashes with a single click.

i watch it fall,
in front of my eyes,
one by one,
side by side.

i forgot my reality,
what i really was.
a mistake, problem.
how could i keep the walls?

i am ruin,
whatever i touch,
whoever i love,
whenever i try.

i am ruin,
still not sure why,
but i've accepted the fact,
so i wont leap to fly.

relief

A fleeting satisfaction
A silent pain
You use this to cope,
Can you call yourself sane?

An effort to relieve,
A try to be okay;
A silent cry for help,
Yet you hide it meticulously.

Other times you deserve it,
Or at least you think you do.
A punishment for being you,
A pathetic comfort.

A tiny metal,
Slits of satisfaction;
Bleeding and breathtaking,
Deadly yet fulfilling.
