what depression feels like
a glass room, with a single hole.
filling with water from all sides,
you'll see it coming, but wont be able to control.
no matter how much you try,
you'll float but wont breath,
drown but wont die.
at times you wont feel real,
at times you wont feel a thing.
or maybe you'll feel too much,
your eyes will drop, arms will sting.
here's the truth, you cant escape;
it'll chase you around,
stick to you, a forever weight.
a shadow you cant escape,
you wont know what or whom to hate.
it'll feel like an illusion,
or a movie your staring at,
not understanding a thing, but your the lead actor.
or like a play on stage, a script you wrote but wont recognize.
you'll watch yourself, but see a stranger,
you'll smile around but it'll feel like a weapon.
you'll try and try, but u cant run, my dear
your own reflection, you'll start to fear.
the monster is you,
your own mind is the room,
your own thoughts are the water,
but you cant save yourself from yourself.
