John Critten Poem
A meteor crashed into heather,
They reacted together,
Not much later that night,
A young starling took flight.

John Critten Poem
Again and again
and again, and then is when
again, it’s again ...
A nurse (to be terse)
made things worse. I see, if free
this she, would reverse
At night, a ship’s light
wasn’t bright. It’s glow, more low
can’t go – though it might!
We flow, to and fro,
fast and slow. We sway this way
like so, off we go.
I fear that it’s clear,
there’s none here. “No ale” I wail
“I’m frail without beer.”

John Critten Poem
Tipperary's a long way from here,
But the Emerald Isle's best beer,
Will enhance any ceilidh,
I wave my shillelagh,
With some Guinness, old Eire feels near.

John Critten Poem
There is no need to wait
Beyond my garden gate ,
Nor to fight or to duel
Just you shine, like a jewel .
So each word that you utter
Say it loud, don't you mutter .
Or be sad, oh just a shadow .
