You're Not Here

You're not here to argue.
You're not here to fight.
You accepted my claims,
And you left me behind.

You let me finish the story,
Where I wrote you out.
You don't get to say sorry,
Or fill me with doubt.

You're not here to argue.
You're not here to fight.
You can cry all you want to.
Without you, my future is bright.

I won't let you make me into an inspiration.
Speaking on my motivation,
Fighting against your temptation.
I only loved my imagination.

You didn't fight.
Which makes me believe
That I'm right.

You just run away and hide
The moment I brought you to light.

I'm so mad that you proved me right.
I want you out of my sight.

You can't understand what it's like
To live every day in fright.
I used to find peace in your eyes.
Now, you've just left fear inside.

I hope you're going out of your mind
Knowing you'll never be mine.

I will never know

I will never feel your wetness slide down my cock
Simply because I do not have one.
I will never know your texture beyond 3-4 inches
Simply because my fingers are not long enough.

I can hold you and kiss you,
But I wonder if my longing for you will ever be satisfied.
I can make you cum,
But would it really be me or the toy you hold?

Will I ever have that pride in making you scream?
Can I provide something for you that you can’t receive from a cock?
Do you appreciate it even though we are operating with boundaries?

Say what you will about men,
But at least the equipment is already installed.
Even gay men can fully engulf themselves into another person.

Women are different.
Women must rely on stimulation and imagination.
Although, I feel like my imagination can only carry me so far.

Safe and Sound

(To be read in the rhythm of “Hallelujah” by Leonard Cohen / Rufus Wainwright)

I know I said I’d be better by now
But I wander through like a ghost in town
And I can’t live with the person that did that to you

It’s not unlike a wounded heart
It bleeds and aches like dripping art
And yet it beats in rebellion to keep the pain in

I have hurt you
I have lost you
I have let you down
And now you’re forced
To keep me around,
Safe and sound

We both know I’ve been here before,
I’m a coward commanding a broken horse
Expecting him to move on like a machine

Ignorance is a travelled arch
But recklessness is the patriarch
It takes the lead and decomposes all your progress

I have hurt you
I have lost you
I have let you down
And now you’re forced
To keep me around,
Safe and sound

I have no pride in what I did.
It makes me question my will to live
But then again, that was questioned before

I know that’s not what you want to hear
But then you ask me to draw you near
And I cannot shield the darkness as it’s around me

Hold me softly
Don’t forgive me
Here I will sit down
I’m sorry you’re forced to keep me around
Safe and sound

I do not love you

I don't love you

We can say I don't know you
We can say I haven't given you a chance
We can say that maybe love will grow if we are patient
We can say there is hope

But as of now, I don't love you
What we can't say is that I don't know what love is
I know what love is
I know that feeling of saying I adore you and it not feeling like what you mean
I know what it's like to look into their eyes and say I miss you even though they're not going anywhere
I know what it's like to watch their mouth say words you can't hear because you just long for those lips to be against yours
I know what it's like to laugh with a person and instantly want their body against yours

I know what love is
I have felt it
I have denied it
I have challenged it
I have mourned it
And yet I long for it

I wish I loved you
But love does not come when it is summoned
Love is not something that will arrive in the mail in 5-10 business days
Love does not listen to reason and timing
In fact, it's incredibly inconvenient and sometimes a burden

When I look at you, I see a friend
I see the hope in your eyes and it makes me want to be hopeful too
I see that you long for me to fulfill your fantasy
And for moments at a time perhaps we can pretend love is there
But I am so sorry

I do not love you
