Memoirs

Down the road to wonder
You’ll find another day
Filled with all your memories
You’ve made along the way
Some of them happy
Some of them sad
All of them remembrance
Of the life you had
As you face tomorrow
You’ll look back on today
Seeing how your past
Has helped you find your way
Right here to the present
Where everything’s all right
Looking to the future
Where everything seems bright

Sister-In-Law

Sharing a friendship from back in the day
I'm so glad that God planned it that way
Special you are...Have you even a clue
To know what it's like to have a sister like you
Ever a time you feel lonely or if you ever need a friend
Rely on me to help you through it right up to the end

In case I have not told you"Christy, I love you!"
Noble in your actions-to yourself always be true

Love and laughter, pain and tears
Ample friendship through the years
Wishing you all the best in everything this life can give

Conditioning your life the way you wish for you to live
Happy you make others when in your company
Rewarded by the laughter of the memory
Internally you have touched me
Satisfied by what I see
The sister that i wished for
You're the best, I could not ask for more!

Coming Back To Life

Buried alive with obsessions
Suffocated by depression
Stuck underneath anxiety
Further from reality
Contemplating actions
From any point of view
For proper explanation
In things that others do
Tasking on others problems
As if they were my own
If I continue at this rate
I’m sure to be alone
Mind filled with confusion
Masked as a disguise
Keeping feelings bottled up
Adding to my demise
Finding a reason
To believe in tomorrow
With hopes not to bring with it
Anymore sorrow
I need to learn how to let go
Of past situations
In order to rid myself
Of further complications
Take on the mind frame
Everything is going to be alright
Allowing room for what is positive
To come into my sight
Where I can veer
In a new direction
On a road that is leading
Towards perfection
Fighting off infections
Plaguing my existence
Using strength that I can find
To help me go the distance
Someday I’ll crawl out
From within my grave
To see who it is
That I have to save
I’ll find the answers so, many times
I’ve searched for
I’ll then know the reasons
I will have found it, the cure!

Faith We'Ll Meet Again

Sorrow poured through me
as I heard you were gone
No future stories with both us
Still many memories live on
Conversations between us
only you and I'd understand
The things that we went through
side by side, hand in hand
Making one another feel better
when life had us down
Now I can't seem to hold you
on my face I wear a frown
My tears are still falling
My wounds they must be deep
For the memories I am grateful
Thankful for the thoughts I have to
keep
Why should I just accept
The fact that you are gone?
If it's about faith and believing
with me- you'll forever live on
I cry when I miss you
for I wish you were here
I love you unconditionally
to me, that is clear
I wish to someday again hold you
Make up for lost time in the past
Hopefully the next time we meet
It won't go on by us as fast
I'll try to hold on to believing
That love conquers all
Trusting in God to be with me
When the heavens give me a call
Where we will be reunited
After time spent apart
There are no words to describe
the way you've touched my heart,

Imagination-Use It

Taking time to ponder on the thoughts
Of things you do not know
Letting your mind wonder
Allowing room to grow
Thinking beyond reason
Of what some may seem to be
Beyond an explanation
For anyone to see
If your thoughts can find it
There’s every chance it could be true
Even if it’s out of reach
In a place without a view
Never stop your mind from dreaming
About what others cannot see
You may just discover
Something that’s meant to be
Somewhere in the vast infinite space
Deep inside one’s mind
Are things yet to be uncovered
Meant for you to find
Don’t listen to others
If they say you are nuts
Believe in yourself
Do things that take guts
If there were never no leaders
To go to places unknown
We’d be back in the cave man ages
We would have never of grown
A good imagination
Is a healthy device
Use it often
Heed this advice
Think outside the box
Then figure out ways
To make your creation
From inside the maze
Of the images seen
In the back of your mind
Mixing facts with guesses
Everything intertwined
Never stop using the best tool that we have
It has no rules there so, anything goes
There are no restrictions to keep you from trying
What’s out there no one really knows
I like to visit and use what I’ve got
The things I come up with sometimes surprise me
There’s no other place for someone to go
That allows them to truly be free
Give it your best
You’ll never be wrong
Go as far as you can
You need to bring nothing along
You and your imagination
Is one of our greatest gifts
Take advantage and use it
Allow your mind to drift

Stuck In a Limbo

Stuck in a limbo
by promises spoken!
For-ever i'll be here
even though my heart's broken.
I tried what I could
to help us part ways.
Confused by my thoughts,
i've been lost in a maze.
Looking from every direction
for what seems to be.
The break that is needed
to finally set myself free!
The torture which I live with
tends to grow more everyday.
Tearing me apart inside.
Which nothing can take away.
Self-indulged in misery;
Life's not all that bad.
Look at all the love there is:
Yet to be had!

I Still Believe Even Though

I've been let down so much
Yet, I continue to care
Trying to do my best
in a life which is not fair
My heart has been broken
by those who've done me wrong
With only my faith and hope
to help me move along
Each day finding the strength
to help me pull through
To continue believing
is what I must do
Doing my best
as long as i'm here
Even when i'm let down
by those I hold dear
To become what it is I hate
just is not my style
Instead all of my pain
I disguise with a smile
I believe there is a future
that is meant for only me
Where my soul's no longer tortured
Where happiness sets me free.

Halloween

Goblins and scarecrows
Hobos and whores
Dress up as a playboy
Become the singer who tours
Make up fun riddles
you can recite at the door
Recieve money and candy
from both the rich and the poor
Carve jack-o-lanterns
Make pumpkin pie
Howl like a werewolf
at the night sky
This holiday comes but, once a year
allowing you some time to just escape
It empowers your imagination
"Halloween" I think it's great!"

Lori Kerrigan

Little things they mean the most
Open minds, beliefs in ghosts
Remembering all this life has taught
Instead of all the pain it’s brought

Knowledge gained from every test
Endowing me to be my best
Rewarded with all it is I’ve got
Rest assured I have a lot
Instilled with emotions over the years
Getting rid of most my fears
As of now I’ve learned to love
Now I believe in God above

Picture Perfect

Up on a mountain
Alone stands a tree
“Picture perfect”
For all to see
A perfect blend of colors
Created in the fall
With the descending leaves
Adding beauty to it all
The winter brings with it
A look that’s all its own
It’s like peering at a snow globe
When the wind is blowing
The view in the springtime
Is like a breath of fresh air
Life as it blossoms is
A sight which is fair
Summer makes sounds so soothing
By winds which compel the tree to dance
Inhaling its aroma
You’re enslaved into a trance
So, as the seasons continue to change
This perfect picture you can see
If you look up on the mountain
Where there stands alone a tree
