Blanket of stars

sky get dark,
for stars to let shine
I'll be your darkness
if you say you're mine

the way the stars appear
and the thoughts of holding you near

if you were here,
i would have hugged you very tight
thinking, as i stargaze,
through the night

beautiful things are always far
i say as i look into that star

and i'll think of you
as i look into the blanket of stars
