Summertime

Sitting in the shade of a mango tree
Under ripe and full fragrant fruits
Mellow breezes willow and gentle
Make the skirts on the line scuttle
Every soul in the forest is alive in glee
Rifling leaves fall onto the grassy ground
The sun is brilliant gaily shinning on smiling faces
Inside the shade taking in cool fragrant wind
My body lay in the grassy field gently
Entering stasis in the ambience of the gods

Earth's Cry

The language I use
Is not for man alone
Tis laced wit sweet nectar
That comes from nature's blood
Hear me oh creation
For I bring news that man and beast
Must listen to
We hear as one, the language of our mother

The words I speak
I beg tis not hearsay
I have heard the truth
From the winds rustle the leaves and sway the trees
From the churn of the brook in the meadow
From the wishwash of crashing waves of the ocean
Our mother speaks with a sorrowful voice
Her tears are our hurricanes
Her wails become our earthquakes

Listen to me, her kin
Born from the depths of melancholy
Before her patience becomes anger
And her sadness unquenchable rage
Change your ways oh man and beast
Drink up the words laced with the sweet nectar
Before it becomes bitter poison
That you are forced to swallow.
Save yourselves from complete anarchy
And make our mother dance with glee
For if her despair turns abhorrent
Man and beast shall cease to exist.

Mr Sewerman

Grunt grunt below the gutter
The man of the sewer works
With his big old rusty spanner
He twists the pipes, the nuts and bolts
That struggle to hold the metal that jolts
The rats and roaches scamper
When they hear the sewerman's steps
Plod plod plod goes the smelly sewerman
Onto the next battered and crusty pipe

Glog glog the stinky water churns
Flowing out in wispy waves
Greenish hue surrounds the river of filth
Looks like a witches wildest dream
Mr sewerman scrunches his bulbous nose
Shaking his head and clicking his tongue
As a fat rat chases past his bulky boots

Oh Mr sewerman sir
Look how much you toil and swear
See and smell all what you wear
Do you like this job Mr sewerman sir
Are you merry and well with the fat rats
Jolly and gay with huge skidding roaches
I say your plight is choice
Look at that large frame
You could have been a pawn in the country's game
And left the smelly sewers that you call home
Honour and grace could have earned you a place
As a general or even a captain of the horde
Instead you cower behind the sewer's cover
And douse yourself in the smelly waters

Look at me Mr sewerman sir
When I strut with my uniform in town
People wave and salute me in honour
Do you envy my shiny medal
And the respect from the townsfolk?

Loverboy

Loverboy staring out the window, the stars gleaming so prettily
The meadow's bathing in silver light of the moon; it is such a perfect night
Loverboy sighs at the darkness, candlelight dimming as the wind blows
The night of love is here with me. I have found the one to call my own.

Dear dear what is your wish, I shall give you the moon or the stars or the sun
I have known you since before I knew, that such a feeling can fill my heart
Loverboy looks at the sky he clasps his hands and bows his head
The night of desire is here with me, I shall ask her to be my love

Sweet sweet boy runs through the tallest grass, past the willow where he fell in love
Loverboy jumps over the little brook, where he met his friend and now his passion
Past the pine forest, loverboy flies, by the trees his love adores
Into the village, he skids and trips into others with their halfs under the skies of love.

Loverboy soars above the sky, conjuring a future where she becomes his, and he becomes hers
He dares not think of negative thoughts, deluded and delirious he imagines and dreams
Sweet boy turns a corner and two, colliding and pushing through the others who make him hope
One more corner, one more turn soon he'll be in his lover's arms

At the corner of his eye he sees a beaut, robes and ribbons fluttering softly in the wind
No doubt in his mind as fresh vanilla hits his nose, that his sweetheart is out in the night of love
But as the loverboy is about to run to her, he sees a man's hand entwined with hers
The way she looks at him and he looks at her, is the embodiment of the night of love

The loverboy stares- his love in love with another man
Slowly he turns his head to face away, he cannot bear the pain
He bows his head, dares not to look at the sky that gave him hope and filled his heart.
Through the village, past the pine forest, over the brook, past the willow he fell in love, he swims through the grassy field back to the window

Loverboy looks at the sky one more time, the brilliant stars look hazy and unrefined
One drop, two drops the tears well in his eyes, wets his cheeks and pools under his chin
Was I too late in making my feelings known? To whom shall I give the stars and moon?
Sweet boy closes his window unable to look, at the night of love and of desire
