Enough Paper

I've got enough paper to build a new tree
maybe i can get some kind of reward
I'm doing it all to make you happy
And maybe this will move things foward
Seeing as the drawer is stuck
And I'm being pushed around like a hockey puck
I see no reason to leave you behind
With these things I have no luck
It seems your sun's been put out
By the water coming out of my spout
I guess we'll just have to wait
Until I have another drought
This may take a long while
For i've got enough to go round
if i pass it out then maybe you'll smile
But then your friends will drown
This may cause you to look down upon me
Which you already do
But I'vegot enough paperto build a new tree
And I'd do it for you

Reading Is Torture

Well im thinkin that ive always been a romantic
Ive just always been concerned with all girls
To live in a world without them would be tragic
They love to run their fingers through my curls

And just when i think im in love with all
I find myself fallen for one in particular
As we hold hands walking down the hall
I try to catch a glimpse of her sexy figure

I just hope we dont end up like our parents
Well maybe yours wouldnt be so bad
Just know that i live only for your prescence
And without you id be beyond sad

But i dont even want to think of that
I dont even know where my mind will take me
Only with you do i like to chat
I would be a wandering fish if your were the sea

Now as i come to this close
I wonder about the future
I chose not to write this in prose
Because for you to read is torture (hahaha)

In the Lunchroom

Well now that you have gone and turned me on
I guess im now definitely going to be taking you home
Just know that i got to wake up early to mow the lawn
Because that was the only thing that rhymed in the poem

And the feeling i get whenever you catch my stare
Is like healing a secret with the passing of air
Whats the deal though you dont return my glare
You know what i want to steal it could never be fair

But by the end of this night ill have pillaged your village
And know that ill never stop pressing or keep you guessing
You have appealed to my picky liking baby ill be your viking
Oh and i hope you dont mind if i call you baby because im definitely not shady

But as im watching you drink that drink
Im starting to think
As my peripherals catch your movement
I want to savor the moment

But with the unfortunate passing of the everlasting time
This moment could never be lasting because its almost tomorrow
And the only thing that ive wanted more than time is for you to be mine
Because lady i dont mean to sound shallow
But you turn me on

These Words

Theres just something that i cant put words to
And it absolutely has to do with how i feel for you
When you look at me your eyes turn a different blue
If only you could see what i see if only you knew

Youre what keeps this parsite of a heart beating
And im hoping none of this needs any repeating

Because its hard to open myself up like this
The feeling is summed up in the way we kiss

And i could spend eternity staring into your eyes
Because its their rules that our growing love defies
Only seperation could ever bring about our demise
And im in love with our ritualistic heys and hi's

And i would tell you all this sooner than later
But i think id rather put it all down on paper

Ive tried to put it all into a song on my ukelele (haha)
But i pretty much missed the tiny mark completely

But i dont want to keep you here reading this for long
I think we all know that since im falling my will isnt strong
And just know ill eventually get it all out and write that song
Ill definitely tie in how next to eachother is where we belong

Realization

Oh! what joy it is to enjoy
These mindless hours put to no use
An absence of tactics that i employ
For thought holds no excuse

Honesty truly is overrated
Intellect has no place
Yet sex is yet to be outdated
And pleasure more abundant than grace

“So wrong,” they surely say
Such a pity for the so-called wise
Better to shake a head, turn away
Than to fall for such absurd lies

Go on, have a taste of such living
Take a break from the bore you are
Quit this wild habit of believing
Such thinking won’t get one far

Instead, be content with being stationary
Watch as ambition grows and fades till death
Become the only unmoving missionary
But always be sure to take a breath

Left At the Altar

I wish i had known what you were looking for
I wish i had time to be with you a little more

All the while i was there all the time
I'm by your side on the drop of a dime

I might have known what you would find
I feel the atmosphere around you is a special kind

When you leave the room feels empty
The weight on my shoulders becomes hefty

There's no time for consultation
For you i'd search the entire nation

I fall for your spell
On the thought of you i dwell

Your fingers run down my back
You look so sexy dressed in all black

But you left me at the altar
You ran from me some place afar

Now the thought of you brings me pain
It seems i'm now constantly caught in the rain

Closure is what i'm need
I could watch you bleed

But i don't wish you harm
How could i fall for your charm

It had all been so great
It just must be fate

For you to turn out alright
And for me to stay up all night

Depression has struck
And i'm stuck

I will never fall again
I can't go where we've already been

Just know one thing and that is this
The timewe spent together was utter bliss

The Escape

So many times ive sat here
Thinking of something to say
Written things full of fear
And how she makes my day

But in all honesty i dont know
How to tell you what im feeling
Because it's my mind that's peeling
And this is what i want to show

I think mostly about time
And how we re all slaves
How we re put together with slime
How everyone rants and raves

It's like we re stuck in some kind of merry go round
One that we can never get out of
It can be heard in every sound and felt in the ground
And i think the only cure is love

So from here this is what i aim to find
And the search is all i will do
I will escape this daily grind
And i hope you do too

Obsolete Brilliance

So concerned with the skill
But anyone's skilled with language
Everyone knows the power of will
Though words rarely show knowledge

So i say screw the pettiness of being clever
I say screw those who value wit over truth
Why do we appreciate those under cover
Yet we let them hide because that's just youth

We could read a page of "smart" quotes
I could litter a textbook with highlighter
Anyone could refer to important anecdotes
Everyone congratulates the "brilliant" writer

All the time we see it happen everywhere
All of us are blinded by words every time
Take the aged's advice without thought or care
Though soon enough you'll find it a crime

For they lived long before our era of man
They spoke in a period when word was a privilege
What was written was read by no educated scan
The world is changing and so is knowledge

Through a Window

I see you through a window
It's true you are my love
I stand outside as it begins to snow
From the heavens that are above

We shall lie there for eternity
Together in eachothers arms
Together is a certainty
We're fools for eachothers charms

Laughing as we talk
Listening to the earth
Hand in hand we walk
I love you, for what it's worth

It kills me to see you walk away
You and all your beauty
By your side is where I must stay
I believe it is my duty

Your hair sparkles in the sun
Your eyes shine in the moon
For now I am done
With this eternal tune

But gone is where I'll never be
Be there is what I must do
Yes, that is the job for me
To be there with you

The Day After Valentine's

Its in the way you look at me
Its different from everyone
Its like you can finally see
Even when blinded by the sun

I try to remember all the things you did
Like how you tickled my back
Youre everything i dreamed of when i was a kid
Like how you make up for the things i lack

Now as i sit in bed
Trying to figure out what you want to say
Putting paper to lead
Its probably on this thought that ill dwell all day

Youre evolving from a want to a need
Not to sound creepy at all
Because these words come out like i bleed
While we listen for parents in the hall

I think the last time you left you took my heart
Or atleast youre in the process of stealing it
I cant even stand it when we are apart
Im hoping youre also feeling it

And hopefully im doing a better job than max bemis
Because i know you like the way he can put things
Maybe he could do better at describing this
But i dont think even he could publish our feelings

Im trying to get my thoughts around you
But its at this job theyre stuggling
Its about this struggle i dont know what to do
Between thinking and breathing im juggling

And i hope you grasp these lines
I hope you eventually say what you wish to say
And even though its after Valentines
I wrote you a poem for today

And i could go on for forever
Telling of times we spent together
Just know that the only one is you
Andthe feeling still feels brand new

i think this one is much better ;)
