One Nigeria, My Country

One Nigeria, my country
I want to talk about the diversity
Do you know about her beauty?
Please don't make it filthy
Let's take up an activity
And show how much we love the country

Nigeria no disaster
Oh God listen to our prayer
Please take this country higher
And make it *much* better
People think we are *in* danger
Not knowing we are truly wiser
Oh God take us higher
And answer our prayers

People say we complain
Not knowing we are plain
Then back in the rain
We worked with pain
On the hand the chain
When they used whip to cane
Feels like we may go insane
Oh God stop the pain
Now am dreaming again
Seeing Nigeria rewarded with gain

Nigerians don't abandon your culture
To make us greater in the future
Our heritage Nigeria to nuture
Through the fire we can still come forth pure
Victories of our great past still in our brain
And we cannot forget the pain
When the whips caused the sprain
May our prayers not be in vain

Though I cannot explain
Why Nigerians are still in pain
And when can we see the gain
Of all they have done becoming vain
Everyday cry and pain
With crime and sprain
Nigeria show what you got
And don't leave a dot.

The Rightdoer

O you right doer and Savant
Why are you still a servant?
Oh I know, the country is stagnant
They take you like a small ant

Do not worry we are the giant
Increasing our power through the night and the twilight
We are coming like a dark Knight
To show we are the ones right

They say, O you quiet!
What do you have? Power, connection or wealth?
We look like we are impotent
Oh! We are the gallant
Sure! To work out brilliance

FRIEND

Firstly,it was a casual meeting,
Relationship now to never end,
In the tough times always there,
Encouraging and supporting all through,
Naturally there are ups and downs,
Definitely to an end they all come,
Faithful Relationship In Earth Never Dies

WHAT HURTS THE MOST

I don’t feel anything anymore,
I thought having you in my hands was all.
I thought I’d be the one you adored—
But I couldn’t see through the rising walls.

You gave me the key, you opened the door,
But I was blind to the cracks in the floor.
I saw forever in your smile,
Not knowing forever was just a while.

You held my heart like fragile glass,
Then dropped it quiet—watched it pass.
Now silence sings where you once spoke,
And dreams replay the words you broke.

It’s not the leaving that shattered me—
It’s how I stayed when I should’ve been free.
It’s how your ghost still shares my bed,
How memories ache more than what was said.

I miss the plans we never made,
The laughs that died, the touch that stayed.
I miss the way you looked my way
Like I was yours—come what may.

Now my joy feels counterfeit,
And songs just sting instead of hit.
The sunsets look a shade too cold,
And mornings rise, but not as bold.

I scroll past love like skipping pain,
Afraid to ever feel again.
Yet somewhere deep beneath this grief,
Is a scar that still believes in peace.
