Forgotten

FORGOTTEN

Soar,
Soar like the wind.
I flit and dance, obeying my master.
Dipping, I glide over the lake;
In the mist of the morning.

This is my life.
Jerk, goes my line.
My neck stretches out,
Hoping to catch the last strands of the breeze.

The wind grapples with my master,
Wrenching me up and up,
As if it won’t let me go.

I thrash as two forces pull to claim me.
But like most things in life, only one attains.
My master jerks harder,
Causing the wind to lose its grip on me.

The wind screams its furry,
But soon it is forgotten.
I plunge downward in a spiraling dive;
To come to rest in the reeds of the lake.

A child scampers up,
Catches me in their chubby arms,
And drags me away.

Time will later find me in a small cramped closet,
Where my master left me.
Forgotten.
Just like most things in life;
Just like my companion, the wind.

Fall

Autumn's hue, a season of change
Leaves fall to the ground, their vibrant range
Golden, crimson, orange, and brown
A colorful carpet beneath the gown

The trees stand tall, their limbs outstretched
Bare branches etched against the sky, a sketch
Nature's canvas, painted with grace
As leaves drift down in a gentle embrace

Frosty mornings give way to warmth and light
Summer's heat now but a distant sight
Crisp air fills lungs, invigorating all
As nature prepares for winter's call

The scent of pumpkin spice and apple cider
Wafts through streets, evoking memories thicker
Than the fallen leaves that crunch below
A time for harvest, love, and woe

The wind whispers secrets, ancient and true
Of seasons past, and those yet anew
In autumn's embrace, we find our place
And cherish every moment, every trace

So let us bask in this fleeting time
When nature paints her masterpiece divine
For soon enough, winter's chill will come
And spring's renewal will have begun

True Love

Oh, love is like a rose in bloom
With petals soft as silken gloom
It fills my heart with sweet delight
And makes my soul take flight

Its beauty is beyond compare
A treasure to behold with care
It brings me joy and peace of mind
And sets my spirit free and kind

In romance, I find my home
Where laughter and tears are never alone
Together we dance through life's embrace
And cherish every moment we trace

Our hearts entwined like intertwining vines
We share our deepest secrets and divine
With each other, we find our place
In this world of endless grace

So let us bask in love's pure light
And savor each moment of delight
For in its arms, we find our strength
And our souls take flight.

Why NOT me?

Why NOT me?

In the shadow of the womb, I lay,
Tiny and helpless, not yet on display,
Unknown to the world, silently I grow,
A life in waiting, with oh, so much to show.

But fate decides, with a cruel twist,
My future uncertain, in this rollercoaster abyss,
Cast aside, before I can even breathe,
My tiny heart is draining, unable to seethe.

Do they know my pain; my silent cries,
As they take away my one chance to rise?
In the folly of their choice, I was made.
A lost soul, not wanted, trapped in the depths of their parade.

Unseen, unheard, my existence denied;
My potential extinguished, as they decide.
But in the shifting dance of life and death,
I'll remain just a whisper, a forgotten breath.

For those who choose to overlook;
The beauty in me, the life they forsook,
Remember this, in the depths of your heart,
I was here, I did exist, I was a part.

Now I’m in the arms of the one who never cast away
Where I know I can sleep peacefully, and safely lay
For even if no one on the earth will take a gift from the creator
I’ll forever accept him as my life giving savior!
