A Silent Tear

I write these words in silent tear,
they were not meant for you to hear
my heart is what these words contain
they bring you close with each refrain.
but only in a state of mind
for not always is my life so kind.
i learned so much from loving you
my fondest wish is you have too.
i know you think its for the best
that we lay it all to rest
i can't foresee another day
without your love to guide the way.
but if it all did not exist
there'd be so much i would have missed
like the kindness in your eyes
that assured me you were Gods surprise
the memories are here to stay
no one can take them away
you need to know my love was real
and this is truly how i feel
this silent tear's not from remorse
and does not come from my loves loss
like Gods tears of morning dew
it's from the joys of loving you.
i miss you...

This Feeling Called Love

STRANGE THING ,
THIS FEELING CALLED LOVE
I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW
IT DOES WHAT IT DOES
SEEMS EVEN IF LOVE IS ONLY ONE WAY
I JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU
MORE EVERY DAY

1st Day In May

"2 SISTERS KIDNAPPED---BOTH WERE FOUND DEAD"
WAS THE HEADLINE IN THE PAPER I READ
INSTANTLY IMAGES FLASH IN MY HEAD
OF 2 LITTLE SISTERS KIDNAPPED--FOUND DEAD
THERE PARENTS HAD DONE EVERYTHING RIGHT THEY GUARDED THERE YOUNG ONES ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT
NOW LEFT WITH NOTHING BUT SORROW AND PAIN
BECAUSE OF SOME SICK AND TORMENTED BRAIN
WHY THEM? WHY US? THE PARENTS LAMENT
SUFFERING SUCH PAIN AND BRUTAL TORMENT
THIS CREATURE WHO DRESSES IN HUMAN DISGUISE
HEARS NOT THERE WORDS,THERE SCREAMS OR THERE CRIES
HE"LL ADMIT VERY LITTLE AND TELL MOSTLY LIES
BUT THE ANSWERED ARE BURIED SO DEEP IN HIS EYES
THEN PROUD WHAT HE'S DONE HE DESCRIBES IN DETAIL
THE DEATH OF THESE CHILDREN SO YOUNG AND SO FRAIL
HE CARES NOT A BIT FOR THE ONES HE LEFT DEAD
AND SAYS THAT THERE'S DAEMONS INSIDE OF HIS HEAD
THE DOCTORS WILL TRY TO GET HIM TO SAY
WHY HE DID WHAT HE DID ON THAT FIRST DAY IN MAY
HE HAS NO INTENTIONS OF TELLING THEM WHY
AGAIN "DAEMONS' .... HIS ONLY REPLY
THEY'LL BRING HIM TO TRIAL AND CALL HIM INSANE
THAT LAW WILL PROTECT HIM FROM CAUSING SUCH PAIN
THEY'LL ASK HIM TO STAND AND THE JURY AGREE
I KNOW WHAT ID DO IF THAT FATHER WERE ME
I'D CALL FOR THE DEVIL AND MY SOUL I WOULD SELL
FOR A TIME TO MEET WITH THIS CREATURE IN HELL
HIS SENTENCE WILL BE A SLAP ON THE HAND
THE JUDGE IS UPHOLDING THE LAW OF THE LAND
IN YEARS AND SOME MONTHS THEY'LL MEASURE HIS FATE
SOON AFTER THAT THEY'LL OPEN THE GATE
WE'LL ALL WONDER WHY AS THE LAW SETS HIM FREE
"HE'S CURED" ",NOT DANGEROUS" THE ANSWERS WILL BE
ITS TIME TO WAKE UP OLE' U.S.OF A.
AND SEE THAT OUR CHILDREN ARE DYING EACH DAY
WE'RE STARTLED,WE'RE SHOCKED AND OH VERY SAD
WE ASK ONE ANOTHER IF THE WORLD HAS GONE MAD
I WONDER MYSELF HOW BAD HAS IT GOT
WHEN THESE "DAEMONS" HAVE RIGHTS AND OUR CHILDREN HAVE NOT
THESE 2 LITTLE FACES I STILL SEE IN MY HEAD
AND ALSO THAT HEADLINE IN THE PAPER THAT READ
2 SISTERS KIDNAPPED-- BOTH WERE FOUND DEAD

Reflections Past

I sit and stare at my child of three
who speaks his non words so eloquently.
He speaks from his heart for his thoughts he's still learning.
To see what he sees is what i am yearning.
So young yet so bold, his time how we'd cherish,
to take just one day to relive fore we perish.
He knows no prejudice, hatred or fear
that this world tries to teach him year after year

I sit and i wonder what life would be like,
if we all could relive just one day of this tike.
How clearly we'd see just how foolish we've been.
We'd forget all we know and start over again.

To see what he sees and hear what he hears
would better the world and stop all its tears.
We're older no wiser than this child of three
i know cause this child use to be me.

Thoughts of You

I gave so little, yet you gave so much
At times I was numb to your warmest touch
Your heart was so loving, your laughter contagious
Your eyes ever blue, your smile, outrageous
Sweet were your words, generous your heart
Yet I still found a way to break us apart
So thoughtless was I, so sorry I'll stay
for things that were said, that sent you away.
it seems for some things, they'll be no forgiving
which makes it so hard, this life that I'm living
Not able to see you, how long it does seem
Yet I see you each night when I lay down to dream
I wish you happiness, security and love
And may God's hand guide you from His home up above.

Two Lives

one red and black, one green and white

one open, one closed one day one night

is one truly a life when it takes only space

while the other contributes so much to its race

while one is green and open and white

the other knows only refuge and fright

the person this is is one and the same

but his minds so controlling in its little game

those days of closed of black and of red

are the days that this mind would rather be dead

but as of today green open and white

have the strength and the will to withstand this fight

as days turn to months, months into years

green open and white may turn into tears

so he must take control of whats in his head

or forever will be night black and red

The Pillow

STRUGGLING WITH SELF,
MEMORIES SITTING UPON MY SHELF.
STRUGGLING WITHIN,
FIGHTING A BATTLE I CANNOT WIN.
LIVING WITHOUT,
YOU ARE WHAT I THINK ABOUT.
LOVING YOU STILL,
CAN'T SEEM TO SWALLOW THIS BITTER PILL.
SEEING YOUR EYES
YOUR FACE HOW IT BEAMS,
BUT SEEING THEM ONLY IN SLUMBER AND DREAMS.
WANTING TO SLEEP,
ALL NIGHT AND ALL DAY.
TO BE WITH YOU,
I KNOW OF NO OTHER WAY.
IT'S TIME TO DREAM,
I MISS YOU SO MUCH,
NOW MY EYES THEY WILL CLOSE,
MY PILLOW I'LL CLUTCH

Eternal Hope

don't ask me not to love you
for this i cannot do
i am not asking in return
the same sweat love from you

for if i did not love you
no reason would i need
the belief in hope and who i love
in which my heart can feed

right now i know there's others
there's nothing i can do
my patience hopes it makes you see
how in love i am with you

so loving you i always will
on this you can relay
and if you ever change your mind
my heart it will reply

it will say that it still loves you
and that you are my friend
and with joy and jubilation
i will love you til the end

and when the end has come
and we must say our goodbyes
the last thing that i hope to see
is love deep in your eyes.

and if you still don't love me
even when i finally pass
in heaven i will wait for you
and hope you'll love me then at last.
