Reflections Past
I sit and stare at my child of three
who speaks his non words so eloquently.
He speaks from his heart for his thoughts he's still learning.
To see what he sees is what i am yearning.
So young yet so bold, his time how we'd cherish,
to take just one day to relive fore we perish.
He knows no prejudice, hatred or fear
that this world tries to teach him year after year
I sit and i wonder what life would be like,
if we all could relive just one day of this tike.
How clearly we'd see just how foolish we've been.
We'd forget all we know and start over again.
To see what he sees and hear what he hears
would better the world and stop all its tears.
We're older no wiser than this child of three
i know cause this child use to be me.
