Winter Fun

Outside so cold
Let Winters story unfold

The lake now ice
A fire out back, so nice

As the blizzard sets in
A snowball fight will separate the boys from the men

A snowman emerges from hard work
A little boy knocks it over, what a jerk

A snow day for school
All the kids think it's cool

Shovel the snow from the porch
The intense cold can scorch

Go back inside
From the cold, run and hide

Depersonalization

Inside four walls I currently reside
Within this house I continue to hide

Hurt lurks beyond these bounds
Crumbs of ash in piles and mounds

A cold fire burns deep
This amber glow will keep

Fearless as I may be
This outside world I can not see

For pain has been my enemy
The outside reminds me of the memory

For many nights I toss and turn where I lay
This memory hurts in a transparent way

Sunshine is but a remembrance of youth
I hide away like a midnight sleuth

Dimmer and dimmer is this light
It only gets brighter during the night

Where one can think without sound
And think what is really all around

Out of this world I feel
Is everything I touch real?

I see but am still blind
I am out of body, but still in mind

The Once Heart of Stone

Find mine heart of stone
On thy pedestal o' glass
For if it weigh more
Shall then shatter the mass

Mine heart of stone
Hath weighed me down so
When you came about
Lightly it became to know

That stone became a jewel
Crafted by your grace
And the jewel became diamond
Just by the smile on your face

So be it by your charm
Or by thine eyes
You awakened my heart
Be it awakened, realize

That you as an angel
Gaveith me a key
To which opened a stone
And set a diamond free

So be it known
Now to diamond from stone
This heart will love thee
Because you set it free

Fable of the Fall

Once casting violent rays
The setting sun will fall
Among the depth of the haze
The darkness will swallow all

Inside a deep vast cave
A new hero will rise
The princess he will save
And bring darkness to demise

But he faces many troubles
Along his dreary path
The danger on earth just doubles
Will darkness bring its wrath?

With his sword and shield
The hero carries on
Within his soul will yield
A truth that was once gone

I Miss Her

Do you believe in love at first sight?
Well I surely do
I once met a girl out on a dance floor
The feeling I had was so new

She didn't know how to dance
So I showed her how
I still feel in love
Even a year later now

It was unreal
I haven't seen her since
But I picture a world
Where I could be her prince

We would dance again
In a kingdom by the sea
We could be alone
Just her and me

We could always be together
But she will never see
That day I met an angel
And she danced with me

I was hit so hard
By her charm and grace
I miss her so much
I can still see her face

Invisible Is Peace

The dark streets
Give me a home
Nobody around
Yet I am not alone

Science and nature
Are all around
I am on a mission to find
What can not be found

Searching for answers
Looking for relaxation
I don't know if I can find
A new adaptation

But if I can find
This answer unknown
My superior being
To which will be grown

I want to find peace
I look but can not find
Because what I look for
Causes me to go blind

There is no peace
Within our nation
Because everyone is corrupt
Been thrown to damnation

Sex, drugs, alcohol
Causes us to sin
And cast out our character
Deep within

In the Mirror's Eyes

Alas, death sets in
The bitter cold at night
The chills that haunt my soul
Creeping in like a virus
It makes no sound
But in your heart
It always will abound

This pain gives offset emotions
In the mirror I hate what I see
I see, me

A person with no future
No hope
No dreams
No aspirations
Just one lost soul

But what I don't know
Is that there is someone who cares
Even if I ignore it
I make myself oblivious to the love around
All I hear is the repeating sound

From lost lovers saying no
To old friends that let me go

I look in this mirror and see
Someone who wants to be free
Escape the bitter pain
But if take my life now it will all be in vain

I am unaware
Of the little things around
The friends that still care
The family I still have
I take it all for granted
And I do not see
How much these people
Really love me

Missing Someone

There is something missing
I could never put my finger on it
I write to get out affection
But all of it just bottles up
I don't know what to do
I want someone that I can talk to
About everything
And not just a friend
I want it to be a girl
A girl is what I write for
Someone I can adore

It doesn't even have to be serious
I just want someone that I can talk with
In a flirtatious way
Call babe and all those names
Compliment her every time I see her
But apparently I am not desperate enough
Because there are people who like me
But I do not like back
I am too picky in my life
But I have this right
Yet every night I plight
That I need some girl to bring light
To my day
Someone to which I can say
"I love you"

Three Reasons

I can not slow her stride
She gets further and further every day
It breaks my pride
She is unaware of what she is passing by
As I lay down to think of her I sigh
She's unreasonably cunning
She has me running
In circles in my mind
On the lookout trying to find
Her

But she keeps a steady stride
And forever has left my side
She is in her own world now
She left me alone, how?
I treated her like royalty
She had my loyalty
She had earned my trust
It blew away in one gust
The gust had came in
When she had spoke of
Him

She left as quickly as had came
Thought of her drive me insane
Now I am the one having to move along
Music can keep me happy
Sing along to every song
Even if it feels awkward and wrong
She left me without thinking twice
I thought she was nice
But she is no more
What all for?
I thought I was worth it
I guess not
I guess the only problem
Between the two of us was
Me

Empty (Lyrical Ballad)

The flame that I once held
The one that shone bright
Within the ground will meld
On this merciless cold night

The empty night
Will flood with rain
Tonight I fight
Just to stay sane

Dimensions of pain
Will fill the sky
Within this rain
Hear my feint cry

The mistress will fade
The skies will cry
Diamond to jade
Ambition to die

Within that lost soul
Resides a key
Within her
I find me
