I Speak For Me

Like a blazing current
She charged through life
Creating an earthquake
Enticing everything down

Electricity ignites like fire
Crackling bright flame
At a pace ever-flowing
Molding together as one

Unfolds another chapter
Verses yet to be heard
Crafting a new journey
No end, no beginning, eternally

Secrets and Lies

Closets unopened
To hide out the truth
Ignoring red flags
Reliving our youth

Maturity vanishes
No pride has arrived
Fantasy mysterious
Yet a little contrived

We knew from the start
Complicated lives
Chaotic when apart
Calmness a demise

No rational thinking
Heads filled with lies
Caused by emotions
Feelings to arise

Then quietly the vibe
That was freely provided
Became too confusing
Long time decided

Not wanting to stop
But knowing we should
Distance demanded
Here comes the flood

Too many questions
And so many lies
Attempting a rebuild
With secrets still tied

Who knows the outcome
Is it worth our time
Friendship on offer
Here starts another rhyme

Melancholy - Reminiscent

Mutual grief and joy to I
Euphoria reverses to dysphoria
Lessons learnt warmly
Action speaks louder than word
No regret with bitter aftertaste
Colour varied, bright against dull
Hope invites its beautiful face
Owning emotion rare and true
Looking ahead, lighter walk in step
Young at heart, never give up.

More Than Enough

We are ready to invite you in
Open to welcome in the crowd
Our team building community
Faces new, so many of them
Interest spikes and accelerates
Music cuts through the air
A smile soothes like old friends
Joining with a branded industry
Pushing forward no limits bound
It's going to be fine you know
Everyone is part of the family
Our business more than enough

You Are Loved

Dear one, do not be dismayed
You know your value.
The gifts you offer kindly
Your laugh and smile contagious.
Listen to your soul singing
Like a songbird in the morning.
See the wonder at your calm
How strong are you in adversity.
Take a deep breath, mindful
You are loved and worthy of it.
Let the heart sing too
Embrace your journey, let it flow.

Through My Window

It was a mystery
That I could witness
Your astounding beauty, yet
Only hidden in the shadows
You gaze upwards
Moonlight captures reflection
It dances and delights, ripples
My breath catches sharply
My heart skipping beats
With a melodious infinity
At the lake through my window

Picture Perfect State

It starts with a smile
A bright flash blinds
Captures the moment

Look at the memory
Filter applied to maximise
Shared to friends alike

Waiting for something
To create that feeling
Approval of likeness

Vanity mirrors and fillers
Sunbed replaces sunshine
I need to look fine!

Is it a generational guise?
A picture perfect state
To be accepted today

It starts with a smile
A bright flash blinds
Captures the moment...

Acceptance

She blossoms when she's rising
Her heart and soul coloured
Complexities many, yet distant

Embracing each moment, briefly
Infrequent and often entwined
Talking minds not hearts

How she yearned for chance
Shielding under full exposure
No light there to guide

On her knees took day down
Grey shadows made seen
An epiphany never forgotten

History circles the mind image
Chess board askew the table
Turns, run out and resigns

As the cold light of day hits
Darkness falls once more
Rejected body and wholeness

Directions to future plans void
Living her life on life's terms
Acceptance...her only answer

New Year - New Me

Last year she belonged to you
Giving her all
For you to breakthrough.
Chimes at twelve
Fireworks exploding
Yet no Good-will came from your boding.
She picked up her heart that
Dragged on the floor
Dusted it off
Deciding she was worth more.
Resoluting to be the very best
That only she can,
She stopped her influence
Sobered again.
Then she was free from things
That bound her
Became a fresh experience
Happy, joyous and free!

Insecure

From when we first met, We set to get wet
The spark made us connect, Yet,
There you go and fret, Set to get wrecked
Reject.

Insecure,
I told you before, You're no chore
Always wanted more, Brought it to the fore
This done before, You became insecure.

From when we first talked, Walked
Opened up our thoughts, Sharing reports
Intimate lyrics, left me reeling, Concealing,
The truths not revealing.

I told you you're worthy, Maybe a little bit pervy
The kink made a chink, We had no time to think
Took me to the brink, Sink,
Not knowing what you think.

Finally,
You took us to the top, Stopped, dropped
No reason to date, Twist the hands of fate
Create hate or to devastate mate!
