A Mistake Once Made

An event happened
State of mind wrongly placed
An action made
Thoughts rise a new
Regret recognized

Seeking the past undone
An effort made
Actions fail to facade
Hope like clouds to the sun

Darkness overcomes
A new thought arise
A final attempt made
A prayer said

Forgiveness given
The sun shines through
A mistake once made
A life risen new

For Now

Growing deep inside
Like rust on a diamond
It grows so vigorously
Without control in sight.

Wanting it to stop
A waterproof fire
Pushing away those closest
With reason unseen.

A beast untamed inside
A cage without a lock it lives
Taking control with ease.

Struggled strength to get out
Climbing up an endless wall
When conscious kicks in
The end seen nearer.

Without sign or hesitation,
The body echoes with silence.

The fire slowly diminishes
The diamond again shines
The beast lies sleeping in its cage.

For now…

Seasons

The air comforting my skin
Walking amongst those never forgotten
A tear rolls down, for it’s sorely missed
Happiness seen a fraught the many around
I lie there wondering where it all went
But a smile returns as the leaves turn back color
The sun longer lit, as brighter days return
For tomorrow time comes back around
As it always will do
For a sweet day once missed
Returns back to new.

Born To Make Sin

Under the spotlight
Everyone done intent for the right
But still something wrong
Why is all done a flaw?
The rules so tightly held

He the holder of divine law
Permits only passage through belief
If asked forgiveness
For all wrongs done
Then granted eternal life

All life’s mistakes made
Forgiven and Forgotten
Through a simple prayer
A belief unaware

Born to make sin
Only through forgiveness is belief
For belief is access
And access is eternal
