For Now

Growing deep inside
Like rust on a diamond
It grows so vigorously
Without control in sight.

Wanting it to stop
A waterproof fire
Pushing away those closest
With reason unseen.

A beast untamed inside
A cage without a lock it lives
Taking control with ease.

Struggled strength to get out
Climbing up an endless wall
When conscious kicks in
The end seen nearer.

Without sign or hesitation,
The body echoes with silence.

The fire slowly diminishes
The diamond again shines
The beast lies sleeping in its cage.

For now…
