K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
How can i behold your face again
when my eyes are ladden with tears?
How shall i hear the rushing wind of your voice
when my ears are deafened
by the silence within?
How shall i ever fondle your face again,
when my arms are withered by solitude?
At dawn i can not find you.
At noon i listen in vain for your laughter.
In the night season, my forlorn heart sighs
as it would its last.
The moon`s probing eye finds a way to my heart.
It is your reflection
that stretches in the dust.
Where once i had summer
i now have winter.
Your love which i once have felt
i now can feel no more.
You re so far away.
...so far away.
...so far away.

K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
just lay here beside me
where the lillies talk to the orange sky
and the evening wind titters all around the place.

K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
i see.
i hear.
i feel.
i touch.
i see His glory disclosed.
i hear the rage of His voice.
i feel His ripening breath.
i see.
i hear.
i feel.
i touch.
realty is when i `m in His presence.

K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
The sky will lower, the hills quieten,
and the moonlight to my window sill come,
the night she will come.

K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
when the evening wind dies
upon the mountain top,
when cold silence chills the night with her tongue,
when the shadows bid the forest be still;
i will return home to your arms
where dreams hatch
and the world is in a whisper lost.
when the morning sun stretches out the hills,
when nature` s voice charms
the pastoral landscape with tales,
and strews dead leaves upon the paths;
i will lodge between your breasts.
i will suck the honey of your breathe
and listen to the voice of spring
sobbing in the little trees.
when November bends the moon
in deep blue darkness,
when many a midnight star has shone,
i will return home.
i will return home.
i will return home to you by the riverside;
where once we made love
and the mortified waters,so cruelly moaned.

K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
Those moon-lit nights,
those fragrant winds,
those dense trees behind the mountain,
those ruthless gazes
that tore through my heart
and took me apart,
those glitters of your bangles,
those plundering fingers,
those sighs that sat upon your lips
..........it` s all coming back to me!

K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
in her words
i burn.
i get doused.
i feel the sun of the morning.
i know the cheerfulness of the evening wind.
in her letters
i see a magic garden
strewn with fragrance of desire.
i pause.
i whiten.
i blush,
.....too soon for love.

K K Iloduba Jnr Poem
Tonight, the wind will whisper,
the trees will sigh,
but this lamp i have lit for you,
will never be doused.
Tonight, the stars will gaze,
the rivers will murmur,
and the moon will come out of her hiding,
but this lamp i have lit for you,
will never be extinguished.
Tonight, in this fiery blue darkness,
my eyes await you.
my ears ache for your footfalls.
Tonight, in this very lamp i have lit for you,
i burn.
i burn.
i burn in every pore.
