A Desert Or An Ocean

A moment in time,
Suspension of earth and air,
Mind over matter,
Not a thought, not a care.

Embedded in my mind,
Engraved in my heart,
The fantasy fades,
As the ocean parts.

The salt burns the wound,
The pain slowly fades,
The scar will heal,
But the memory always stays.

A beautiful sunrise,
A sad sunset,
As you look back,
And wonder what's left.

A Desert or an Ocean?

Chaos

An ocean full of emotion
                                             On a crash course
                                             With reconstruction
                                            Letting your thoughts

                                           Become your own
And your soul a festive devotion
                                    To the master
You didn't even know you served
This is a last chance at a course of action
                                   To best serve your needs

                                                   GET UP!!
                                              Out of that ditch

                       Pull yourself together
                                                      and replant
Put your feet firmly on the ground
             Take a good look around

                                     Know
                                                                           That this
             Is your final stand
                                       Your one and only

                                                   LAST CHANCE!!

Me

This is the gift God gave me,
The only one I know,
He gave me words,
And the ability to use them just so.

I discovered it,
When I was so very young,
Always speaking of pain, heartache,
And the setting sun.

Emotion is what it is,
That seems to make it flow,
The compromise if heart and mind,
That makes you think you know.

My inner thoughts and fears,
Are here in these words, lost in the lines,
These are my thoughts and emotions,
In there deepest disguise.

It makes people wonder,
And makes me want to know,
Just what you're thinking,
As you read the words I've wrote.

Do they make you smile,
Or maybe even cry,
Do you laugh at the confusion,
Or understand why?

Should I publish this,
Or flush it down the commode,
Read it to friends,
Or just simply let it alone?

This is my life in a nutshell,
Utter chaos word for word,
These are the things I'm thinking,
And this is the life I'm leading.

This is where my crazy story ends,
But look for me tomorrow,
And I'll tell it,
All over again!

Lost

I sit and watch,
As time goes by,
All the while,
Wondering why.

The days are short,
And the minutes, Oh-so long.
As I sit and remember you,
With this song.

Your life passed me by,
Just like I knew it could,
Never slowing down,
Although, we all knew you should.

I miss you with my heart,
I see you when I close my eyes,
If only I had known you were leaving,
I would have said a more heart-felt good-bye.

I miss you with sadness,
In memory I speak your name,
This life is so full of questions,
And I'm still trying to figure out how to play the game.

I hear your voice in my dreams,
I my nightmares, I'm still calling your name,
Only to wake and realize,
Everything is still the same.

I miss your smiles,
And your stupid grin,
The way you looked when you were angry,
And when you knew you would win.

I've thought of a thousand resons why,
And none seem to fit,
I wish you would have talked to me,
When you felt you were hardest hit.

You broke my heart, when you left me here,
Standing all alone to cry,
But the memories you left me were your greatest gift,
I don't even have to say why.

I didn't think I would ever forgive you,
But it came in time,
Along with much needed healing,
And the end of this rhyme.

My Prayer For You

As you approach each mew day,
May God,
Give you the words,
You are to say.

May he be with you,
At each and every turn,
And help you,
Not only to teach, but also to learn.

Reduce me to love,
Is what you must pray,
And send your angels,
To guard in all thy ways.

For God is love,
And freedom is yours,
If only you let him heal,
All your scars.

Untitled

Confusion in my mind,
Questions of the heart,
Where does the fantasy fade,
And real life start?

Twists and turns,
Through this intricate maze,
One path leads to life,
The other only days.

You never know where your going,
Only where you began,
Like the sands of life,
Slipping through your hand.

One moment it's here,
The next it's gone,
Like the fading moonlight,
At the crack of dawn.

Journey

May the sun shine,
And the flowers be in bloom,
And may the God of peace,
Help you find your tune.

May your trip be safe,
And your journey long,
As you find the words,
To your own hearts song.

May the angels guide you,
And the heavens sing,
As the bells of your life,
Begin to ring.

The same old song,
Set to a brand new tune,
As you begin to realize,
The plan God has for you.

Who Am I

As I walk along this road called life,
As I look back at the sorrow and strife.
I take a look inside of this being called me,
I take a look to see all I can see.
My secrets hidden in the deepest recesses of my mind,
My sorrow and shame not far behind.
I look around for who holds the key,
The key to unlock the secret to me.
The disguises gone, the many faces cleared,
The one that says "it's me, I'm right here".
But no one steps forward, nothing jumps out,
Please, can you tell me what this life is all about?!?!
