A Desert Or An Ocean

A moment in time,
Suspension of earth and air,
Mind over matter,
Not a thought, not a care.

Embedded in my mind,
Engraved in my heart,
The fantasy fades,
As the ocean parts.

The salt burns the wound,
The pain slowly fades,
The scar will heal,
But the memory always stays.

A beautiful sunrise,
A sad sunset,
As you look back,
And wonder what's left.

A Desert or an Ocean?

Wonderful imagery with this one, Jeannie. Perhaps only within the ether is our destination ... smile ... but how wonderful to have lots of sunrises and glorious sunsets along the journey.
