Sister Nigeria Bleeds

I got up this morning
The sky stained with blood/
Searching for the answer/
Brothers & sisters from Nigeria screamed for help/

The Eagle has fallen from the sky/
It wings have been broken/
It feathers show misery/
The beauty of democracy has faded away/

Welcome to mother Africa/
Where citizens are beaten up/
Standing up for thy right/
Gun sounds make them afraid

My heart bleeds for sister Nigeria
Blood are seen on her skirts/
Her legs are opened for brutality/
She has been raped for practicing democracy/

I can't stop weeping for Nigeria/
She is swimming in the pool of blood/
The white strip in her flag/
Has been darkened red/

On her skin, I see bruises/
Her land can't flourish peace/
Her eyes can't stop bleeding/
My fingers are shivering while typing.

My Darling

My Darling

before I plant the seeds of love in
this poetry, so it can feed your stomach with butterflies &

with these beautiful lines cooked with my fingers.

let these rude letters crack
every part of your body,

& bullet your heart with these
words wrapped in roses buried beneath my sleeves.

because the other night you left your sweet scent on my shirt,

when you landed your body in my arms,
& the smell of your fragrance choked me like an artist chewing his own song.

my mind has become a gallery,
collecting beautiful memories of the past,
like the night you offered me your soft lips, while you calmed the breeze in my chest.

babe, I am not an artist
but I want to paint poetry on your skin with my tongue,

maybe telling you "I Love You" was just a song sang,

so come closer let me bury my emotions with kisses on your nose while seated under the shadow of the Blue Moon.

Just one of the many poems I wrote while away.

I'M An African

I'm an African
Not because I was born in Africa, but I love her cultures and traditions. Her 54 children are blessed with natural resources. The rising sun and the bright blue skies must be my pride.
_____________________________________

I'm an African
Rising from the dusty plains of pain.
This is the land of everlasting strife who stands firm. Her beautiful hips and valley quenches my thirsty spirit.
_______________________________________

I'm an African
My eyes weep for Africa.
Because her cultures have been murdered.
She lies in the pool of disunity, crying for unity.
_____________________________________

I'm an African
Residing in the land of diamond and mountain. Her footprints on the map
might unlock the mystery of freedom from the dark. Her scares image paints the dazzle of her legacies.
______________________________________

I'm an African
I'm surrounded by Gold, shining Diamond and green barked forests and misted mountains. I'm the producer of oil and iron ore; the planter of gardens,
And the builder of dams.
_____________________________________

I'm an African
Great icon of this Earth.
I feel the sun on my back
And the sand between my toes.
I can feel the blessing of the breeze and
I can hear the sound of the waves.

Letter To Dad

Letter to Dad

Papa
when I visited the cemetery this morning,
tears were like rivers in my eyes that later dropped washing your grave, my lips then became split with dirges and heart stained with sorrow,
my voice penetrated the sky asking death to give you a second chance.

Papa,
it has been 13yrs since an unknown stranger snatched you away,
breathe silence and sleep into your nostril with ease,
my tears pierced that night with coldness and brokenness,
while the charming birds in the cloud abandoned their nest and lamented unto your souls.

Papa,
I'm yet to believe that your body is meal for insects,
I'm yet to believe you didn't wake up when death punched you,
I can't believe you left and didn't watch me grow up under your eyes.
I just don't want to believe you can't hear my voice in the cloud.

Papa,
Sleep with those broken smiles on your face,
sleep & don't breathe pain that slept in your chest when sickness didn't pity you,
I promised that I gonna fight to the last degree of my burning souls,
and plant letters of your name in my palm,
as a means of motivation each time I want to give up

Letter To My Crush

Dear Crush

before night falls and the moon kisses the red sea,
i wanna confess the affection of your love in my heart,
pen down these words under my tongue,
than draw the diagram of love in your palm,

Dear Crush

I'm afraid to stand before you to say a word,
the shining lights from your eyes are so bright,
fear swallows my mind without remorse,
and your spirit is strong like the taste of Frontera wine

Dear crush

I don't wanna be mean with feeling,
I want you to come and sit with me, so your body can kiss my arms,
and I'll look into your eyes and paint picture of the entire world,
Suck the honey on your lips and inhale the fragrance of your body.

Dear Crush

As the picture depicts,
one day we gonna sit under the blanket of love,
where your head will lay on the hair in my chest,
and my tongue will finger your mouth with fluids,

Dear crush

If you give me the chance ,
I'll take a trip with you to the nine planets,
and you will see your name painting letters(LOVE) on my forehead,
there you will see smile in the corner of your cheek

Loneliness

Poem entitled

"Loneliness"

The entire world has gone against me,
my marrow bones are soaked in
tears,
I wanna live in a place rejection comforts me/
Let happiness leave me alone!

my veins are no longer pumping blood
the broken pieces of my heart are happy.
my spirit evokes the feelings of neglecting me/
Let happiness leave me alone!

my breath has sliced into pieces
my hope is sealed in a cage.
and my future has missed enough chances/
Let happiness leave me alone!

my life has become miserable because of you,
my soul melts in bitterness each time I picture you,
and my emotions are sore with painful memories/
let happiness leave me alone!

Betrayals

Betrayals
Like Judah iscariot, so as their missions are wrapped in kisses,
they smile at you with shining faces,
but their mind stamps devilish,
yet they eat with you at your dinner table,

Betrayals
will take a trip with you to your destiny,
Paint happiness like a billboard on your skin,
give you a dream full of success
and later hug you with brokenness

Betrayals
envy, jealousy and hatred are their blueprints, they cloud themselves with fake smiles and shinning gums,
dance to the beat of your downfall,
and later listen to the lyrics of your demotion.

Dear Friends,
Look at those friends standing with you,
are they drawing happiness in your chest,
or are they standing on your dreams like what happened to George Floyd of the US?

Stop Mocking At Me

Poem entitled

"You don't know my story"

By Bob K Queminee

Stop mocking at me/
Allow smile to embrace me/
As I flip the pages of my story/
Society is good enough to accept it

I have become enemy of history/
My pillows were my comforters/
My tears running amok like deer/
I didn't sleep without praying at night

I'm a son of the poor/
My mind is corrupt of my past/
My face sneers in hyperbole/
Because of the pain I endured so long

I can retrospect from the Genesis/
A point where education rejected me/
I weep when I sat alone in my room/
My friends greeted me with gossips.

Hard time gave birth to me/
Hunger was willing to fill my stomach/
Red light was my normal selling spot/
I sold food stuffs to sustain myself/

My soul chases happiness/
Smile spilled my face in public/
My inner peace is preventing shame/
Your fists of words can't stop me

Give Me Freedom

In the mystery of irony
I have no liberty
Not even in my country
I grieve as sorrows breathe in my nostril.

Sadness pushes me to speak
But still fear grips me
The color of my skin
Shouldn't distinguish me.

I am dropping the tears of a slave
My spirit gale in rave
My blood standing still in my vein
And my soul melts on the sigh of my grave.

Droplets of rain beating my zinc
My tears cage in a box of misery
My inner sanctum knees in confusion and Freedom has become my biggest depression.

I have submitted myself in their deceit
Happiness has become my nightmare
Loneliness has become my motivation
No words to describe my intention

The days of tyrannies are over
Loose me from the bundles of terror.
Hold my hand as I enter in the city of freedom.
Where love and peace rest in man's bosom.

Hate Opharns Not

Poem entitled

"Hate orphans not"

We're lying in the state of depression, emotions and dissatisfaction.
We're are weeping in tears, tears that make us scared. We're the deposits of sadness, possessing the torch of boldness.
_____________________________________
Sometimes we wonder really who we're.
Living in a world with no mother and even father. Facing this evil world alone, my heart beats for blue. Why this happening to us alone?
________________________________________

No one to stand besides, to even give us advice. No one to call father or mother. What does the future provide for us? Are we abandoned, for we pray for it not?
_______________________________________

Where our fathers and mothers?
Why have they left us in this evil world?
Why aren’t they coming to see us? Or
Maybe they’ve left us here forever?
___________________________________________

All we want is someone to love us so dear
Someone to guide us and to help us.
Oh, are we demanding so much?
Or is it just that no one wants to help?
________________________________

Are we orphans of disgrace that can never be embraced? With hearts that have now been raped. We hold onto the life we live.
And the happiness that runs in our veins.
__________________________________________

We are the orphans of courage,
Having the strength of warriors that can never be broken. Some don't even eat a day, in hunger we submit. Are we not part of the human race?
___________________________________________

We are the orphans of Faith who are praying for Grace. Onto sadness, we disown it. We stand side by side, bound by an oath we take. We pray not to embrace hate.
