Sahar Cox Poem
Self-righteous do-gooders, so they believe, preaching the Word while minds they deceive,
Casting their ballots for racist, lying, cheats, shelving morality for them to be the lead,
Satisfied preying on the innocent and cleansing the impure, while claiming their prayers will sanctify and hold them secure,
Women stay passive, men will lead and fight, qualm their goody-two shoed outlook with their “good works” that make it right,
Believing progressive outlook ends the value of the American way, yet changing their medieval ideology is the last thing they would slay,
Promised a miraculous fix for the Red, White, and Blue nation, years later it is worse and blamed on the former rulers’ dictations,
Athletes are vilified for kneeling in peace, unjustified murders from countless police,
Threats to deploy numbers in thousands against oppressed citizens of this country, not one word of peace from a dictator and his tight gentry family,
The list goes on and the battles never end, if you see something is not right, not fair, or apart from the trend,
There is moral obligation, ethical righteousness, and justice for all, to stand up with courage and integrity, through action, make the right call.

Sahar Cox Poem
I did not know that my color bled
Into each word drenched in red
Not from blood that runs in my veins
From the white power death forever reigns
My lips move with desperate pleas
Only to soothe your team of trustees
You create my story in your mind
Comfort in ignorance that keeps you blind
I scream louder in effort to be heard
Wrapping my emotions in every single word
Condemned for my angry cries
Fingers pointed at my broken eyes
I am stripped naked and exposed
Opposition has me enclosed
Freedoms door never opened for me
On the other side you all sip on your cups of tea
I knock harder until my knuckles bleed
My vocal cords tear, my hope recedes
In exhaustion I drop to my knees
Hearing you whisper “you pay the fees”
My life was no longer in my control
When my number appeared on your dice roll
I lost long before your game began
A bronze game piece that differed from your iron clan

Sahar Cox Poem
I sing along with raindrops, beating on the rooftops
I can smell the sunshine, long before the rain stops
Daydreams climb on rainbows, waltzing leaves in shadows
Fall has arrived softly, dusting amber meadows
I can smell the sunshine, long before the rain stops
Silver bolts of lining, over the distant hill tops
Fall has arrived softly, dusting amber meadows
Scents of plump October, hum tunes of nature’s prose
Silver bolts of lining, over the distant hill tops
Daydreams climb on rainbows, waltzing leaves in shadows
Fall has arrived softly, dusting amber meadows
I sing along with raindrops, beating on the rooftops

Sahar Cox Poem
Entwined incense and jazz
Smooth lover beauty in sax
Molten golden notes dance
Caressing mind in trance
Deepening tones bloom
Body’s whispers soothe
Smoke clouds kiss petals
Glistening glass freckles
Essence affixed to honey skin
Vines twist and gently spin
Breaths whispers in misty air
Trickling on bosoms bare
Captivating aura in rhythm
Lips hums flow with precision
Evening lost within senses
Closing hazel glazed lenses
Curves lithely sway free
Sunset curls musical breeze
Heart and notes in perfect collision
Reed and vibrations in full fusion
Woodwinds grip swiveling hips
Immersed deep intoxicating bliss

Sahar Cox Poem
How supreme the images portray
Painted in only white canvases on display
No vibrant pigments of differences
Cultures or brush strokes of excellences
How dull the mind of multitudes
Who judge the immigrants of other latitudes
Following paths of leaders lacking adequacy
Yet blindly believing their unproficiency
High disdain for diversity
Deficient dignity while prevailing in emigrant adversity
No remorse or conviction disturbs their prosperity
While bitterness tastes good in conscious vulgarity
Puppeteers dangling strings from their parliament
Taping shut lips of puppets to prevent argument
Shame on the hatred and each thought that is pursued
Justified undoubtedly in the defiled ignorant residue
Too many lost in intolerant, illiberal ways
Separating people and causing chaotic disarray
Never knowing all tongues, tribes, colors and every single nation
Were uniquely created with love for the world as a celebration

Sahar Cox Poem
A face can tell many stories, ancestor’s journeys, and glories,
Every feature stemmed from a root, from worldly gardens bearing fruit,
How could one be the best?
Traits portray unique magnitudes, of all descendant’s latitudes,
Colors and pigments of many, beautiful wonders of plenty,
Can one be like the rest?
Cultures weave colors of mankind, vivid threads of time left behind,
Diversity resounds splendor, within heart walls echoes render,
That each and all are blest.

Sahar Cox Poem
Do we not all deserve the sanctity of a blessed and joyous life?
Instead we carry common wounds from the powerful racial knife-
Are we unworthy of intrinsic, sacred, unconditional love?
Hated for our pigmented flesh that the vultures pray on from above-
Do we truly have a voice, preaching freedom from a concealed cage?
Locked up by self-appointed Gods, driven by power, hatred, and rage-
How many more generations will suffer terror, torture, and tyranny?
Silenced and shackled beasts, while wearily fighting for well-deserved dignity-
Who is stronger in character the vulture or the beast?
Buzzing over lifeless carcasses, in search for the next feast-
Do they see the flood of tears, seeping over the bodies buried 6 feet deep?
Families broken and scarred for life, having to accept unjustified defeat-
Have we cracked the narcissistic ego, fighting for peace and demanding equality?
Boldness is the rebuttal, too proud and conceited to ever acquire humility-
When will the corruption, brutality and cover ups cease from heartless men?
Was this the result of hollow promises, in making America great again?

Sahar Cox Poem
Reign on high in multitudes, comfortably placed on golden thrones,
Protected by unpigmented flesh, hatred resonated in their bones,
Waiting to persecute the impure.
Bloody battles with brotherhoods, side by side with unshakable faith,
United kinship with sisters too, sharing scars of punishment and scathe,
Remaining strong to always endure.
Begotten from the same roots, human species were God’s reflection,
Sin defiled the ignorant minds, judging skin with no tinge of conviction,
Racism spreads without any cure.

Sahar Cox Poem
Declare your allegiance in this separated world
Led by deliberate ignorance chomping on gold
Lining up for your turn based on your make believe sin
Punishments justified and blamed on your skin
Safe at their table where everything is pale
One hand grasps a gavel, the other the holy grail
Your existence an annoyance, a flea or a gnat
Demanding you retreat and scat like a rat
Freedom is preached in Red White and Blue
Only if your flesh holds no tinge of color or hue

Sahar Cox Poem
Hues of amber illuminate the open sky, painting an image of wonder in each cloud passing by,
Scents of summer softly awaken sleepy eyes, while sparrows' songs bid the previous evening goodbye,
Bliss captured in this paradise.
Ice crystals of fog sway above the rivers flow, ever so gently blowing kisses to the rocks below,
Lofty evergreen towers from years ago, pine needles dance a tranquil ballet in a mid-day show,
Whom would such a place not suffice?
Overwhelming awe in this captivating land, magnificent beauty molded by the creator's hand,
Inhaling the glory of life’s gift so grand, releasing the calm mind and spirit as the lungs expand,
Light of love always will arise.
