I Can Smell the Sunshine

I sing along with raindrops, beating on the rooftops
I can smell the sunshine, long before the rain stops
Daydreams climb on rainbows, waltzing leaves in shadows
Fall has arrived softly, dusting amber meadows

I can smell the sunshine, long before the rain stops
Silver bolts of lining, over the distant hill tops
Fall has arrived softly, dusting amber meadows
Scents of plump October, hum tunes of nature’s prose

Silver bolts of lining, over the distant hill tops
Daydreams climb on rainbows, waltzing leaves in shadows
Fall has arrived softly, dusting amber meadows
I sing along with raindrops, beating on the rooftops
