Broken World

True beauty.
Plastic surgery.
Needy men.
Broken women.
Spoiled brats.
And hungry children.
The world is broken,
Too broken to pick up the pieces

The Best Friend Contract

I signed the best friend contract.
That meaning I have made an oath to my best friend.
I will worry when my best friend is going through hard times.

I will stand with them always.
Never behind,
Never in front.

I am there with them all the time.
Across the country,
and six feet away.

When they are sad
I'll try to make them laugh.
But happy, I laugh with them.

I don't like them,
I don't hate them,
I love them.
I signed the best friend contract.

Sacred Words

I guess you could say
I never confessed.
How I truly felt about you.

I'm going to speak from the heart.
For the first time in a long time.
I love you.

We talked everyday.
I smiled then too.
But now your far far away.

I miss you
I really do.

But because that your gone.
I truly can't hug you in my arms.
I can't hear your soft voice telling me.
Everything is going to be okay.

Please I want you back so bad.
So we can tell each other things we never had.
We could laugh until the day ends.

One day, I'm sure,
That we will see each other.
We will hug and smile.
And say the sacred words.

"I love you."

Indecisive

The garden is on fire
The smoke arises
and the flames reach higher with rage
It's like Revelations is on a rampage.

Black or white
Those colors are no reason to fight
For there is a rainbow in harmony
But only black and white with awful matrimony.

Angry mobs and scared people
The rest prays for peace at their steeple
This is where no one takes up their cross
A Choice has been made by those who are pained of a loss

Justice has taken its toll
Right or wrong?
For humans build a wall of fear that is strong
Those humans also want the president to have another poll

They ignore he lives at hand
Recording the destruction and never taking a stand
We are all in our breaking hour
If we don’t fix what we’ve done, we will kill our beautiful flower

Yin and Yang
Is what kept us sane
But the balance is broken
And a war has begun but not spoken.

True Luv

Like a bird with broken wings
I’m chained to the earth
To me you are an eagle
That flies with hope

Like a fire that is weak in glow
I’m in the dark, alone
To me you are a star
With a smile brighter than most

For I have fallen into darkness
With no hope to spare
But you come and hold out your hand
I take it as though my galaxy would end

Like a flower not in bloom
I wait for the right time
To me you are my goal
That I will never stop dreaming of.

Dark Masks

Everyone hides
Behind the mask they stay
Constantly telling lies
Never being okay.

When they are alone, they cry
But when in public, they smile
Thinking that no one will notice or try
To save them form their hell that is vile

Everyone has their dark places
Some darker than others
So, they find their crevices
And never show themselves to another.

Celebration

Friends and family gather around
Up and down the merry-go-round
You laugh and play
Next thing you know the day fades away.

Time flies when you are having fun
As you celebrate your success
You play and laugh until the morning sun.

Friends and family leave
You feel kinda empty when they do
All the fun you had goes away
But they will come back another day.

I Am

I am Serenity Odai
I am an unsteady ship
I wonder what lies ahead
I hear the raging waters of violence
I see the beautiful sun light shine through
I want to be in a calm sea full of encouragement
I am Serenity Odai
I pretend to be a steady ship on calm and peaceful waters
I feel pain and loneliness constantly
I touch my true self rarely
I worry for my crew aboard my ship
I cry when I lose the important
I am Serenity Odai
I understand that some things change like a current
I say I’m fine, just tired
I dream of my own change and to lead the crew and I to light
I try to fly high
I hope for the morning light on a peaceful sea
I am Serenity Odai

Random Webs

People do things without thought.
Every action and word are random.
The tangled web we try to unknot.
Leaves us crying, us not being able to unwound.

Now we have filled ourselves with pure boredom.
It is like a wound
Pain filled and heart wrenching
But there is love and fun we are itching.

There are a small few who think things through.
Carefully, their sentences without random.
But those few get pushed around.
They stay strong and take it all.

For them they have it rough.
They titter away the pain
They find the fun
They find the love.

You can be one of those people.

Lie

The mirror . . .
Reflecting a truth or showing a lie
The dream . . .
Expressing how you feel or showing a lie

You feel like you are in terror
Because you believed the mirror lie
You want to scream
Because you believed the dream lie

Stop looking at the lie
Break that tie
Don’t cry
You just need to move on with a sigh.
