Alex Corns Poem
Simply a leaf.
Falling from a maple tree.
Floating down in circles.
Briefly flying free.
Weightless and empty.
Swaying in the open air.
Under the spell of time.
Feeling no care.
Now softly landing.
In the moment, an eternity.
Peaceful, still and content.
Grateful to be.

Alex Corns Poem
Towering high the pine tree spies
Darkness gleaming across the skies.
All-embracing limbs it reaches
In all directions it beseeches.
Yearning for ominous actions to end
Locked they hide; secretly they offend.
Veiled is the door guarding treacherous fate
Never exposing; hold and isolate.
Looming colossal to pointed peak
Shadows adorn branches yearning to speak.
Piercing the court’s air the almighty giant cries
Wind: Roar. Needles: Skewer. Nothing it denies.

Alex Corns Poem
There was a dame from Westminster,
Who lived her life as a spinster.
She was old and gray,
Yelled at cats all day,
And that is why no one missed her.

Alex Corns Poem
Theology exists above and beyond the Church
Holy Orders create an esteemed priest from a humble man
Everlasting life surrounds all those who believe
Consecrating bread and wine in remembrance of Jesus
Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit watch over
Under the guiding light of candle, Monks toil
Revering wise leadership of Pope, Bishops and Clergy
Christians receive blessings, giving tithes in honor
Highest is the calling to live as a Saint eternal

Alex Corns Poem
Rustling leaves I see
Echoing behind me
Twisted branches in a frenzy
Shiver my spine instantly.
Is that a mysterious face
Hiding inside an arboreal place?
Do I stay or do I flee?
Is that something I fear in the tree?
Will it follow or will it watch intently?
I am still with curiosity.

Alex Corns Poem
In a backpack they fit
All around they envelope
Encouragements by teachers
Bits of satisfaction gained
Insights of students comprehending
Patient words in the lessons
Kindness in the notes of praise
Create joy from the feat of learning
Making the meaningful difference
Students seize to build intrepid lives

Alex Corns Poem
Remembering the feeling inside.
Happiness, calm, safety and light.
Amid every sense, so clear.
Simply a moment, with you being here.
Looking deeply into sweet memory.
Positivity, awe, warmth and joy.
Completely still, thoughts vanish.
Only a presence in time, I see flourish.
Feeling the gift of your life with me.
Gratitude, peace, knowing and free.
Surrounded by a smile, most kind.
Always flowing, like a river in my mind.

Alex Corns Poem
Straight and calm sitting to commence
Cherishing breath slow and content
See See See mind lightly still open in sequence
Poised above the flat reality of execution intent
Fingers in air hands forged to perfection
Existing invincible imagining infinite resonance
Strike Strike Strike in soft flare exhilaration
Passionate swaying in time diffuse profound brilliance
Resound in echo and reign through air into soul
From solid white and black transform surrounding tune
Fly Fly Fly seizing challenge ringing true playing whole
Commanding harmony thriving mastery freely strewn
