Let It Die

Once on a tranquil day in May
When all was said and done.
We should have forced ourselves to " let it die"
For no one could have won.

Most things are better left to lay
To rot like old shoe leather.
For at the end of the day the loss of
a friend will make one feel no better.

So " let it die " let it go by way,
of the bright yellow orange setting sun.
Its a burden to carry if only we tarry,
Taking us one by one.

So what ever we do, always be true
As life makes us stand tougher.
"Let it die " i say, its better that way
For the anxiety will make us to suffer.

The End of a Life

I ended a life just like that.
It was the tiniest of creatures
Scurrying across my arm.

I didn't mean to do it, it happened
Just that fast.

And after the deed was done, I reflected.
I felt an immediate loss. Brushing it away
I muttered to myself. I didn't want to do it.

It was a knee-jerk reaction, a human
Response .

As I have grown in spirit I have come to
realize that all of life is precious no matter
and we all just want to survive.

The Eyes of the Soul

Preface: " To see what others see in us is the greatest learning experience and the beginning of wisdom".

I see you and you see me
Ah how perfect it would be if you could only see you the way I do.
Although the eyes see, it is my soul that see you the way I do.

The eyes play a part as does the heart,
The ears can hear unable to make clear
Yet, it is the soul that brings this to bear.

I see you and you see me
Ah how perfect it would be if I could only see me the way you do.
Although the eyes see, it is your soul that sees me the way you do.

If we could only see ourselves through the soul of someone else
We would surely come to know how we truly are.

There is nothing so revealing as seeing oneself
Through the eyes of the soul of someone else.

Time Enough

There's always time enough,
but never enough time.
What do I do no matter the cost
What is the value of the time I've lost ?

Time is not a thing to waste
As I've clearly come to face.

I do some things and then some more,
But neer keep up the pace.

Let me fill this space that I call time
With Nobel deeds of grand design
Small or large maybe sublime,
But surely not a waste of time.

The most precious thing in life seems clear
It's lost time not possessions that I most fear.

So now I plan to manage mine
And pray it's not a waste of time

Talk To Me

Things have changed.
Aint like they use to be.
Our lives have come between us
What more can I believe.

Won't tell me what you're thinking
Don't tell me its ok.
The thing you are avoiding
Has made me feel this way.

You need to talk to me
Tell me that you care
The little things, you do, but
There's one that can't compare.

Talk to me
Don't just tell me what to do.
The little things are sweet, but
There's more for me and you.

You know just what I'm saying
You know that I know too.
Don't let our lives mislead us
There's more that we can do.

You need to talk to me
Look into my eyes.
We can be so much better. If you realize. (that)
You need to talk to me
Tell me that you care
The little things you do, but there's one that can't compare.
Talk to me...share with me, care with me....

How To Get There

How do you get to there from here
How do you wrest the untouched fear.

Why you just put one foot in front of the other
And never look to the rear.

Its just a matter of time they say
One step is further than none.

Before you know it, you're way ahead
of the place You once begun.

How do you get to there from here
No one surely knows,
As the best in life is on the road
That no one often goes.

Long As You Love Me

You pull my strings, I'll fly so high
You pull my strings, I'll touch the sky
I can't go wrong as long as you love me
You know I'm so in love with you.

You whisper sweet things, sweet like the morning dew
You whisper baby, I'm so in love with you
I can't go wrong as long as you want me and
That why I'm so in love with you.

CHORUS: Take it from me ,
I love you so
Take if from me , I'll never let you go.
As sure as you love me, I can't go wrong
You know im so in love with you.

You give me sweet dreams,
Then make them come true.
Your loves like sweet cream,
Your kisses too

I won't go wrong when you say
That you love me
That why I'm so in love with you.

That Hurt

Stepped on a cheerio
Heard a Crunch!

Slipped off a treadmill
Seemed like a punch!

Saw Mr. Alligator
Munch his Lunch!

Hit my head in the elevator

          OUCH !

No Rest For the Wickedly Mind

Nothing left for me to say
Up all night and through the day.
Toil and trouble does seek me out
Riving the rest I miss, no doubt.

If I lay me down to sleep
The wickedly mind begins to creep.
Worries of old some of new
I lose the rest that I was due.

I then begin to compromise, I ask my
Mind to sympathsize
and finally in the end it appears
my wickedly mind gives way.

Without a thought I fall to sleep.

The wickedly mind, loses once again.

Back In Time

I once was a boy
With very few toys
and happily owned one pair of shoes.

My cloths were kept clean
my parents were keen
and my siblings were more than a few.

We played all day long
till the street lights came on
then she guided us straight to the shower.

She dried our wet heads
then straight to the bed
to dream of our follies tomorrow.

It seemed so simple
this life we shared,
advice we could surely have heeded.

I'd walk back in time
when life was sublime
and one pair was all that I needed.
