The End of a Life

I ended a life just like that.
It was the tiniest of creatures
Scurrying across my arm.

I didn't mean to do it, it happened 
Just that fast.

And after the deed was done, I reflected.
I felt an immediate loss. Brushing it away
I muttered to myself. I didn't want to do it.

It was a knee-jerk reaction, a human
Response .

As I have grown in spirit I have come to
realize that all of life is precious no matter 
and we all just want to survive.

My soul hasn't developed enough for them or flies. I always feel for ants though. Friends are good. The soul needs this.
