The Knock

I sit hearing the knock
The door standing shut and seeing no light
Me refusing to break the lock
Man sitting and stewing in the night.

Jesus waiting beyond the door
His voice calling out to me
Stones beating in my chest
Jesus is winning you see..

I crack the door at his knock
The stones crumbling to sand
Light is flooding my house
Man praying as he planned.

Jesus standing inside the door
My knees buckling to the floor.

My son pay ear to my warning
Cosigning makes you pay
You are working for family
You are not paying for man
Do not go signing papers
You are digging yourself a hole.

Creditors are scything plants
Chiseling money out of stones
Statues are swimming in oceans
Mars is waging war
The dogs are snarling 
Suckers are falling prey

Blessings

Magnifying my King for all He does
Preaching the message today
Teaching man to hear Him
Crucifying myself to obey.

Sacrificing Himself for me
Swallowing no drugs
Sailing all my seas
Refreshing me with hugs.

Climbing every mountain
Scoring every goal
Sculpting my degree at college
Crossing every shoal.

Feeding me my every meal
Filling me with His zeal.

Garden of Tomorrow

My gardening is in man
Growing relationships is the bomb
Betting on people
Placing my brain in the garden
Growing strength in man
Bridging oceans and sculpting statues
Counseling and praying
My garden is growing.

Preaching and teaching along the rows
Planting men and seeing them grow
Feeding the body and watering the plants
Clothing the flowers and harvesting the crops
Stringing the beans and tilling the soil
Sunday school teaching and mentoring people

Mother Mary
My rosary calling you
Mother and friend
Advocate and queen!

Catholic church singing
Christians turning to you
Books speaking of you
Oceans and seas kissing you
Mountains bending to you.

Mermen

Mermaids splashing in the sea
Mermen watching from the reef
Bodies writhing to the waves
Fins flashing tongues of fire
Neptune tossing a splashing wave.

Mermen catching a meal of fish
Whales singing in the currents
Boulders lining the beach afar
The mermaids flirting in the water
Tongues sticking to their cheeks
As plankton are drifting and wafting by.

Diving mermen are singing tunes
Their ballads winning the mermaid hands
Mermaids dancing to the flutes
Hands drumming the rocks in tow
Mermen marrying mermaid brides
Swimming far beneath the sea.

Growing

It talks about how I have changed since becoming a Christian. At one time I was nothing short of a jerk. I was addicted to drugs and suffering from a head injury that caused personality changes. I hated everybody, and I did not mind letting you know it. Today Christ is in control of my life and I live to serve others. That is a complete 180 from where I was. Here is the poem:

Preaching and teaching in church
Overcoming obstacles along the road
No anger showing in my voice
No more chasing man from me
Faces are smiling 
Mars is frowning as I succeed.

Scything and chiseling the mountains
Cutting poverty and counseling clients
Working and serving man
Growing is the key
Drugs are out of the photograph
Statues and poetry booming now
A veteran breaking out of the clouds
Fog lifting in my brain.
