Israel Osinfade Poem
OLUWANIFEMI
She is her man's heaven-sent
A go-getter she is, will never relent
On succeeding she's hell-bent
Her charm is like an enchantment
Always pushing hard to be the best
And stay atop abover the rest
She is a starlight in the sky
You can't kill no matter how you try
She never settles for the less
All hail her courage and prowess
Her man is a duke and she is his duchess
Because of this, she's fearless
In beauty, a goddess
Beautifully crafted in all fairness
On the outside, she's like a rock
On the inside, like a precious stone
Oluwanifemi baths in the river
Other women suspends their shower
Her Father is the King of all nations
Don't play with her emotions
She is always working hard
She never wants her man sad
Always praying for him, day and night
With him, she's ever ready to fight
She is one of her kind
A precious woman who can find
Far above rubies she is
Don't take her, heaven please
I once doubted if indeed Oluwafemi
But now I have realized Oluwanifemi

Israel Osinfade Poem
DARK TIMES BE GONE!
Trying harder getting harder
The Sun rises again, nothing better
Many books are being read
The writers have all rightly said.
Day after day, strength dwindle
Hope cries out, who will rekindle?
Antagonists waiting for your fall
And you'll be done when they call
You work so hard and pray
Yet it seems like beating the air
Morning comes, hoping today is your day
Soon the sun sets, and you've gotten nowhere
Like a mumbo jumbo, your beautiful song seems
The high-flying and sparkling dream dims
Today you fly so high
The next, you can't but just cry
Why? you ask. Why is it so tough?
The road to success so rough
Can we have it all bed of roses
Maybe we can sing our song of Moses
Yet those who have come before us
Fought hard and became conquerors
Wondered if they were super-humans
Or some kind of magicians
But they are definitely not, are they?
So what's the problem here?
When will God make a way?
When shall we also have our day?
Or even have a say
Why the unending delay?
While searching through the pages of the Holy book
As the hart pants after the water brook
My heart seeks earnestly, an answer
Looking high and low, Jesus is the answer
Though my strength fails by the day
And I feel too weak to pray
Yet I will lift my heart and praise
The Only One who, out of the ashes, can raise
Though the night be so dark
I won't bat an eyelid
And the sun refuses to shine her light
Or the moon goes on holiday
And the Stars goes AWOL
I will yet hope, for morning comes when hopes rise
When the memories of the dark become a story
What a road to glory!

Israel Osinfade Poem
Arise O Compatriots
The time is near when we head for the ballots
The time when we decide for a new revolution
Or maybe another time to renew corruption
Genocides birthed out of hatred everywhere
Many voices are silenced out of fear
And all day long, we pray
Who shall save the day
Our leaders who we once voted into power
Have soon forgotten to empower
They promised us electricity
Yet we still face lingering scarcity
Lawlessness and perverseness, unavoidable frivolities
And our communities are deprived of basic amenities
They promised to help our plight
But refused to fix our light
Oh yes this has been our cry all day
But wait a minute, there's still more to say
I know you want to point fingers too
But think about this, what about you
I wish every man can stick to his own wife
Maybe we can end family strife
I wish the small girls with big god
Can work with their hands and trust God
Little rainfall, overflowing gutters
An opportunity to inflate fare for the commuters
Religious standards and beliefs are compromised
While many lives are being jeopardized
No matter what it takes, we will give
When we are done, we shall ask God to forgive
When we get to church, let's talk holiness
But when the service's over, it's worldliness
Even the devil will torment you with poverty
When all we are been taught is spirituality
The country's economy has not helped us
So we are on a get-rich-quick course
And if the so-called leaders are failing
Who will then rise and heed to our wailing
Think deep, again I say take heed
Lest things fall apart and we can't recede
Who are we really to blame here
Or what will you do if you get there
Every sector, corruption has hit
No wonder some will have to struggle to eat
We all have a unique opportunity to make things new
Only if our minds we decide to renew
Let those who love education study to be approved
And those who prefer to learn trade endure when reproved
Let the bribes on the highways stop
So we won't have to fear while approaching the next bus stop
Let every angry man take a cool
For anger rests in the bosom of a fool
If they step on you, it's a mistake
Stop getting mad at every little thing for God's sake
Finally,
And while we hope to reach a safe haven
Let's keep on praying to our Father in heaven
Let's return to the drawing boards
And do that which is right against all odds
But I believe if everything can be done in charity
We can together have our desired happy community
And positively influence humanity

Israel Osinfade Poem
They all used to be in the 'Kwaya'.
Every Sundays and even Midweek,
Ate the bread and drank the blood at the altar.
Sang like angels but spiritually weak.
They are the saints during worship sessions,
Sweet-sounding tongues that thrill the congregation.
They play the sweet chord,
But little or never did they know their Lord.
No desire for the sincere milk
Babes chasing babes
Physically agile, spiritually sick
'Hophnis' and 'Phinehases' in robes
I knew a man before the world began
Such an one cast down from above
Master of the 'kwaya celestial', accuser of man
Out from heaven, him and his rebels did God drove
He used to be God's delight
But through pride, he was taken out of sight.
He wasn't alone and never will be
Seeking more and as many he shall see
The rebels are still amongst us
They grew with us and dine with us
They are after their fame but not His name
They have left the faith, what a shame!
What if I say then
No one carries His name and end up in shame
I'd rather be a 'kwaya' faithful,
Than to be a celebrity rebel.
Alas! If the foundation be shallow
What can a man do?
Howbeit, he is tossed about to and fro
Having no root.
Soldiers wear the same uniform
Whether same or different platoon
Convinced by few, confused by some
If you are with us, we shall know soon.
By faith, Don Moen wrote songs
Even when no one was singing
And God made a way where there seemed to be no way.
By faith, Ron Kenoly sang out
Even when no one seems to shout out
But today, we all sing His praises from every nation.
By faith, Donnie McClurkin called Him faithful,
Despite seeing some of his efforts unfruitful
These are still the days of Ezekiel
Where dry bones are now become an exceeding great army.
By faith, Tasha Cobbs was getting ready
Knowing there's power in the name of Jesus
It's not my might nor by power
But His Spirit makes prosper.
By faith, Frank Edwards saw Him
Standing at the door
With fire in His eyes and healing in His wings
And God gave him a song.
By faith, Nathaniel Bassey turned down a big offer
Held on to God who can take him farther than far
And now, see what the Lord has done
What he waited for has come to pass.
By faith, Sinach knows 'who I am'
Though then childless, but was walking in power
And by a miracle, God proved Himself in all nations,
That He is the 'Waymaker'
The world will give you awards
But God is the giver of rewards.
Light is here
Remain here (In Christ).

Israel Osinfade Poem
Like the moon lights up the skies at night
The Sun in the day, shining its light
You are lightening up my heart, and so bright
Oh oh what a sparkling feeling of great delight
And I feel like staying in that shining sun, bearing its scorch
With no fear of ghosts and fairies in the night, your love like a torch
Grasses are green, with you by my side
Stay with me "Oyinkansola", fast falls the eventide
Rainbows are colorful, and so your heart is full of many rainbows
An assurance that ignites my hopes for glorious tomorrows
With you by my side, we would chase ten thousands and more
And we shall be happy ever after and even forevermore
Your beauty reminds me of the garden of Eden
Where the presence of God dwells with then men of then
And your courage reminds me of Daniel's in the Lion's den
No doubt, inside of you shall come forth, glorious children
Of a truth, i won't compare your beauty with Esther's
You are beautiful like you, in and out, like red and white rose petals
I'd rather hear you talk than hearing the song of Nightingale
Oyinkansolami, I am just sending you a mail.
Cheers my special one!

Israel Osinfade Poem
STOP BEGGING GOD TO BE GOD, HE IS, BE HIS
And while I was about saying my usual prayer
I heard an inner voice telling me something unusual
Normally I would sing some songs of praises
And then thank Him for His Mercies
I always feel I just had to tell Him some things
Every of my actions and my doings
Then tell Him to protect me as I go out
Saying these prayers I can't do without
And just as I am without taking no thought
My lips prepared to mutter a whole lot
Then He said, please wait a minute
Do you think I say and don't mean it?
You call me Father, and so will I
For I am not a man that should lie
I know my promises and I keep them
You know my statues, just walk in them
Then I realized I can't praise Him enough
And sometimes I have to stop asking him some stuff
What about praying for the sick and the bereaved
Or interceding and the reaching the unsaved
Again it resounds in my ear
And why I have no reason to fear
He watches over me like ever
He is, and always will be a Father
Stop begging God to be God
He knows He need to protect His own
Only live to always trust Him alone
In your life, Stop begging God to be God!
He is, Be His.

Israel Osinfade Poem
Silenced, oppressed, tamed voices,
Tears of the innocents, amidst crisis
Genocides, massacres, fear of ISIS
Supposed friends of the masses, turned enemies
In the web of ignorance entangled
Deprived, cheated, manipulated, strangled
Betrayed by the ones we trusted the most
Became prey in the hands of whom we seek solace
As servants gasping for breath under our evil bosses
Hirelings like Shepherds, ravening wolves in sheep's clothings
They don't carry guns but their words are like swords
Piercing through the heart like fiery darts
With their mouths, they have hurt us
Tortured, condemned and maltreated us without a cause
They led us to mountains too high to climb
Perhaps we could fly but alas! they've cut our wings
They gave us laws to walk in them
There were too many of them
It became a very huge problem
But yet we must bear the emblem
The emblem of suffering and oppression
In solitude, kept at bay; in detention
They took our will and gave us wheelchairs
Still caged in our fears
We all have the right to live
And we have to live it right
Every lives matter, whether black or white
Its just diversity of creation, God made them so
But I have discovered something; its knowledge
Knowledge will break the edge
Ignorance is the spirit behind oppression
People perish because they lack information
You might just be free indeed
If you know you can
You can breathe and live again
But allow me show you the way
Its no other thing, no other one but Jesus
He saves, delivers and restores
He will breathe on you again
And when He does, everything comes back to life

Israel Osinfade Poem
In the boat as we sail
Through Jesus, we shall prevail
Though the storms may rage
Christ will forever be our gauge
And yes we may have fallen
Into the dirt we have trodden
Our adversaries thought they got us
Never did they realize we've got Jesus
We were blown away, broken into pieces
Our footprints faded with no traces
And just about the time we almost gave up
To the highest mountain Christ raised us up
We almost compromised what we believed
And nearly gave away the grace we received
But when we were hardest hit
God made our song the greatest hit
Our trust is in the name of the Lord
With our hopes built on His word
We can climb the highest mountain
For we know in Christ, our victory is certain.

Israel Osinfade Poem
Tears,go away
Far be gone from me
It's a beautiful day
Hope is all I see
You think you got me
Never, God's got me
Sorrows be far from me
There is a giant in me
I cried, you win, but for a moment
This won't end in disappointment
I will rise now and up high
Watch me as I fly
I am happy now
There is only a version of me
Look at me now
Someone's very proud of me
I will laugh, you lose
Out of millions, I God chose
My very best is yet to come
Watch me as I overcome
Yes, I am having some fun
I am strong as a unicorn
Never think you can pull me down
I am God's very own

Israel Osinfade Poem
KNOW JESUS KNOW LIFE
You can have the whole world
In Jesus, I am satisfied
Let me tell about my Lord
The one whose name is glorified
Come see the way to life
The way out of trouble and strife
In whom there is true peace
Even the storms at His word, cease
He is the answer to your questions
The solution to every ruinous situations
Always right there before you call
Ever ready to lift up when you fall
Riches of this world is good
But Christ's true riches, is better
Abundantly given with no sorrow
You are never afraid of tomorrow
One day you will leave
All you've earned won't cleave
But where is your destination
Eternal peace or damnation
Be careful of the door you go through
The devil opens door too
But there is only one way
Christ is calling you today
I have not come with a knife
But rather to plead
No Jesus, no life
Know Jesus, know life
