Jack Kenny Poem
Tranquillity
defeats violence
every Love day
What's meant to return
Peace

Jack Kenny Poem
Perhaps a million years from now
when our inferior species begins to evolve
that savage beast inside us all
we will have slain in a D.N.A. recall

Jack Kenny Poem
Like endless words
emotionally meant
Like tideless memories
erratically spent
Like dreams that weave
a few days content
Like flameless smoke
love lies dormant

Jack Kenny Poem
When at last we reached our bipedal stage
we stood with fists raised in the air
We bowed to the brightest stars in the sky
as we worshiped both heaven and earth
We chanted tales to the crescent moon
as we danced to the rhythm of falling rain
yet we stood with fists raised in the air
till the thunder-bird crashed in the plains
When bear and wolf were sacred beasts
while soil and water our precious friends
brought life to mouths of full belief
respect for creatures throughout the land
We stored the harvest and consumed the hunt
praised the god of food and the lord of death
yet we stood with fists raised in the air
till the goddess of truth and justice appeared
Primitive tribes much more advanced
where family the woven fabric of life
stitched tattered ends to meager means
as they held out hope for all species
Yet we cast aside our former faith
dumped toxins for the wind to propel
stole lives for seconds on the silver screen
as we stood on the shore of our living hell
When technology defeated philosophy
we stood with a finger raised in the air
flaunting our thoughtless victory
over a social war - never declared

Jack Kenny Poem
Sweltering tears flow
as resounding bullets echo
Dressed in a neatly pressed uniform,
polished boots and a distinctive hat
Bright metals adorn the solitary cloth
worn like that of an aristocrat
Large stones stand on all sides in military solute
Flags wave wildly for this star-studded tribute
Brave words drift softly from mouths of those gathered around
as another soldier's coffin is flawlessly lowered into the ground

Jack Kenny Poem
May Day, acid and the National Guard
You tell it so well, you tell it so hard
The dream, the trip and peace rallies you stress
We've heard them before selling war stories for less
Rinding in cars and running in the street
Locked behind bars, afraid of defeat
The dream , the trip and peace rallies you stress
We'ver heard them before selling war stories for less
You've fallen, get up and get out of here
Why risk being buried by the past many years
It's time for a change in you 'Little Boy,'
Pack up your bags, throw out your old toys
Why chance looking back when you're so far ahead
Go hang-up your hang-ups, awaken the dead
For the dream, the trip, and peace rallies you stress
All gone today and, people can care less
The Dream, the Trip and Peace Rallies you stress
Could have helped saved the world but
our youth failed the test.

Jack Kenny Poem
Once upon a time of grand pleasure
There was a child with thoughts of pure fun
Days danced from one to another
How wonderful it felt to be young
To capture secret snow forts
on toboggans of imagination
To cross vast fishing streams
in the canoes of creation
To race through open fields
at the silent speed of light
To dig for buried treasure
and catch fireflies at night
Those places that we visited
were at the heart of time and space
They may be gone at the present
Yet, they can never be erased
The ballgame in the corner lot
that spectacular catch you made
The birthday of your special gift
when all your wished were repaid
The years when certain music
was inspiring and brand new
When books became a vacation
getting lost with; "you know who."
Let's visit that time in the present
not retreat to the past
Let's do something that's pleasant
for life rushes by too fast
Now - is the time to discover
what a wonder life can be
Having pure fun with another
by releasing the child in; "me."

Jack Kenny Poem
Name of song artist: George Harrison - Song Title: "Isn't It A Pity."
Poem below:
The greatest song of all time
shows how all people are blind
we either can't see the forest thru the trees
or we simply don't care about anyone's needs
The greatest day we will find
is when we unfold the love in our mind
when we cure violence of all kind
we can peacefully learn to unwind
What greater deed can there be
when all people can finally see
the words sung in such a great song
It's a pity, you don't sing along

Jack Kenny Poem
I've been hiding here for years
but you don't know my name
You call me something different
but to me it's just the same
I'm hungry all the time
though I don't eat and tell
I love that cream colored coating
now, you don't feel so well
I devour meat and fats
but I never feel full
I've seen the 'nodes of Ranvier'
with them I have some pull
While I devour fiber with no shame
let me interrupt this message
I've been hiding here for years
but to me it's just a game
You call "myelin, my meal
I was born to inflame
I like getting on your nerves
and there is nothing you can do
Though You'll keep on trying
you can't move when you want to
So make them stop all the research
I must continue to consume
for I mantain control
in this axon of a room
so while I pause to feed
Let me interrupt this message...
I'll continue hiding here for years
as you complain about fatigue
I don't care about your fears
I must fulfill my needs
While you suffer I only hope
they never come up with a cure
because that inventive medication
might make you who you were
You would be walking once again
and feeling really fine
M.S. would be defeated
then I'd run out of time
Oh no, you've taken something new
and you interrupt this message
interrupt this message...
interrupt this mess...

Jack Kenny Poem
The wind howls. as the grey wolf licks his wounds
pareparing himself for the next battle
he survery the area as the ground shivers
beneath a winter's chill
Instinct didn't prepare him for the attack
as the leader snarled and snapped
the others stood with clenched teeth
and tearing jaws
Spawned by the pack he recently joined
he wanders alone in the threatening wood
though two greys approach on the ridge, growling their disapproval
he follows in the distance
Soon his cuts will heal
the earth will revel in its thaw
and once again, he'll join the pack
as an equal
But for now, his out-cast
and kindred spirit
is broken
by the Winds of Change
As he follows in the distant night
his solemn cry is lost...
in the approaching storm
