Deadwood

Acacia tree satel’ the prairie land

townsfolk gather the witnessing stand
music man muster the rhythm band...
    a waltz they played,
gravedigger prep a solo grave,

shackles jingle accursed limbs...
   hands & feet,
each thwack step... weak, weak, weak,

hidden from popular sight
   a woman, Abigail, weep
latched onto mercy’s flee.
hers the lie condemned the meek,

hangman readies the gallows floor
  spring-door springs, dangling legs swings,
neck snaps a hoarsen gasp,
                        buckeyes bleed,

Kindle

Once dolorous by
     the might of
   disaster's lick

and hope flick
  the luminous Cross
and it was... ‘Red’

RedCross,
   flame eternal wick

Of Seekers

Heat laden dust
 fluff scorch searing
desert plains---
     earth seems aflame;

gust twirl
   it's stinging grains,
rays of sun bake
minds of us who dare &

foray hamlets that
   know not rain, too
tame austere in name

Love Missed While Waiting

Westward blown…
sprinkled mist of wind’s wisp

bathed in summer’s blazing heat

upon iron frame bench I sit
my legs they dangle above madness,
sandy ledge,
not a cloud shield me from sun’s bake
baking my starving arms…
hunger’s thrum

I wait here for love to come

my eyes they roam the torrent angry sea
splash of wave’s cast swab my face
amid gentle breeze

so consumed with the wind’s mist,
the sun’s bake, the sea’s splash,
my hunger’s sass
I missed the love that walked pass

daydreaming… what a drag!

Thread of Dreams

Dangling upon
       thread of dreams
forbidden love snagged
   arousal... unseen,
for a maiden clove
                              serene

To Escape Inequity

In the years of
nineteen-hundred and sixties
in palm of muggy
Mississippi Delta
we would walk around
in thick & bitter air,
we would hide
in denial’s shadow
too witness laissez-faire
across forbidden tracks,
then I, as a child, nine or ten,
would sleep
and dream of flying,
of flying above thick
& blinkered, & pungent clouds
into flare of
greeting nihility,
and as I would awake
for another chronic day
rustlers mounted
jimmy crows
awaits to shatter our rise

Normality

Normality

ills of academic hordes...
  sought to lampoon the rest
 into robotic construct

notable exploits ~wings of creativity~
 via abnormality
certainty of hordes' unquizz
  fore they conceal

wee might in twilight’s hour
 meager lab’s florescent
shine dimly against darkness peep
 of night starry

luminesce cuff
  lonely Scoffer draped in madness
abnormalities
  isolate unknown gene’s molecule
dispel horde’demic norm

certainty of normality quizzed
   by abnormality… fore
he is said not to be illuminati

Torn Vestments

Upon swollen knees
        beg mercy... please!

surely hail showers
     dirty deeds
    save only deity forgive
thieves of moral trust... pan liars,
    bloviating from tainted pulpit

surely hell awaits
               ,demonic soul,

from pious froth,
        earnest turn shoulder cold

Convene from Keepers Rebellious Gallery

Brother. O Brother.
O when when we were callow
In days young Shakers of the movement before
gray & silver turned our locks we held in idol

	Spree even damned were we

Lessen a very score ’til callous became un-sore
away had you myth into the far-off seeking a northern star
Thus did dim of you re-turn filled
privileged besiege ferrying scripted jots of the novel are
	deluged in assure

Brother. O Brother.
Dont forthwith tell to me nor else what I do not
forth I have continued a militant pace
Dont mid uncommon lot tell to me nor else
demur girding resistance rebellious plot

If you must speak a hair tell
of owned stead mid factional fight In the absence
tell of owned gallant march for quality rights

If adapt if no longer a sworn knight
tell of owned rationalism of moralism the plagiarism of
Quisling plight ill-gots Are you not at will zealot

Brother. O Brother.
Here in the brawling depth the course bowl clear
onward the struggle un-stop
You we in pledge had warrant to our brethren aged
to carry the pillars in lift

O out furthest yon you hither re-turn elope dystopia sum utmost grift
—whitewashed literacy alien pensive — these snares gate
earnest mental width so readily turncoat gift
in errand of handmade suits and seasoned goose
be too un-loathed the dandy one who tend the noose

Steady are the angered us of sternly force
undue toil seizing liberty under conquer

Brother. O Brother.
If for reasons untold at sun’s godly will alms’ shine
shalt fetch flicker of brotherly chime
	O the left-behind aggrandizing autocrat-kneeler sprawl
as liken wayward owl
cant find luminous in eyes of kinship kind — formed
across absolutist allured far-off whereat darken desert loom

Muse this Steely-dusk rise leap desert’s sandy sweep
to the heavens it seeps to hand the moon its imposing greet
	if for reasons untold

Petulance Gone Wild

twerking minds rain,

   sins are a-flame

aloof corset a-blame,

                             and fame...
