First make your base using all the pages
of your poetry submissions.
Simmer 20 years or so
or until your first acceptance.
Add the vowels one at a time
(and maybe Y but prob'ly not).
Use A B C to make it thinner;
X and Z to make it thicker.
Adjectives are to your taste;
adverbs may make a waste.
Serve it up with old-fashioned pen and ink,
or avant-garde with electric links.
...and for desert a simple pie
up in the sky where poems die,
filled with the editors and 'zines
that just say no while you wait for yes!

Dancing with a sumptuous flask of wine,
His poems, not even printed in weak zines!
You can watch him scale Soup’s walls,
As he looks down upon us, one and all!
Sarcasm disguised as fun and wit?
A comedian for us, his lowly poet twits.
Humility, to him, but a craven disease.
Our meager poems, disgusting as a sneeze?
Unfortunate you, have not met him yet?
Perhaps tomorrow….as the sun doth set!
These verses are just meant for fun!
Enjoy all you pen, I do mean everyone!

Mathematics has been shortened to math.
Magazines are now Zines.
In fifty more years will math be ma?
Will Zines be Zi?
How will we pronounce Zi?
With our without a long I sound?
