Brutally beautiful is this lady before me
Red fox of desires hallows her body
Udder of males she fills with biting milk
Twinkling eyes prick trembling hearts
All who see her are traumatized by her curves
Little oval lips spear cheeks of daring men
Legs on the move paralyzes all imaginations
Yabbering, her shadow bursts in silent sermons
Behind, her mountains speak obscene words
Eye-lashes flog men’s eyes into shyness
Above her, hang swords of romantic doom
“Ugly” flies into hiding once she’s around
Tight attire assaults holiness in any male
Invitation to her side triggers tears of joy
Fire in hell tolerable; her beauty intolerable
Unimaginable are her shy and piercing looks
Lying profile chops any man’s self-control

The trail was thick with bities and the billabong was high
me mates were all a yabbering 'bout the price of meat
The cavvy horses trotted right on course, nothing seemed awry
the jiger boss yelled "Buckeroos! git that stray dogie to teat!"
Old Bluey barks to say G'Day as he helps the boys to muster
all the new calves to the bank, away from the duffers.
A camp fire smokes and Cookie clucks wrapped up in his duster
as Hoodlum sits a peeling spuds dreaming of his mother.
The suns gone down like a gob smacked floozie behind the range.
At last, it seems, we're ending another dusty day.
The night hawks giddyuped, there are bedrolls amongst the sage,
yet were' not within a cooee of the end of an Aussie's play.

Fill in the Spaces
I see these spaces
These almost mocking moments
Of empty places
Frequenting the hours
In their lackadaisical way
To merely taunt other thoughts
That linger on what they deem as whimsical
Easy to shrug them aside
These mortuary faces of denial
Simple it has become
To loose them and elude them
Fantasy and reality slide
I make more than I
Adept dreamers cannot be defied
It matters not in these spaces
Or in the yabbering jabbering moments
They do not know of the secret places
Which frequent the hours
In their aloof appraisal
They are far to lazy and to well heeled
Of silent seconds spent in connections mystical
My smile writes a hidden tapestry
When her warmth touches
This sequestered momentum
Of a unity reaches beyond
Such hard driven assumptions of need
My cipher bids a more fluent empathy
Than the hustled bustle of empty spaces mockery
