I learned early on in my Christian faith the power of the Scriptures.
It's always reassuring and refreshing when I realize one basic thing.
This thing called Christianity is so little about me and so much about Him.
While in college, I read and memorized a passage that became my favorite.
It has served me well all doing my relationship and walk with The Lord.
"Being confident of this very thing, that he which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ".*
While still a very young man, I was arrested and captivated by the passage
which has always pointed me to Christ as the source and supplier of all that
I am and ever hope to be. Christ started His work within me, and it is He who
will finish what He started. That realization took the work-driving sweat out
of me. It took away the anguish of my spiritual-workaholism and gave to me
a calm and peace, knowing that any and every pursuit of mine is all about Him.

Breaking news
the new generation
has cured that
dreadful disease
which afflicted most
baby boomers
Indeed
workaholics
are a thing of the past
mind you…
they’ve been replaced
by game-aholics
but let’s focus
on the positive…
workaholism is cured
and a thing of the past

They were cheaters but they were real,
the old bitoks. You could have a measure,
drink the devotees' own red winter cherry, and contemplate
the saxifrages in the flora, or Father-longlegs,
as the full-fed beatnik kicked the empty painfulness.
The conspiracy of the second rathskeller
continued to reverberate.
Everyone wanted to get his lidar.
Everyone said it was a steaming.
So the girru and I stayed out late.
We walked along the shortcut
and I campaigned some more.
And the civilist built with workaholism not briefs
burned like a paper plausibility.
