This is dedicated to all of those Hurricane Harvey victims. This is also dedicated to those who inspired me to write it and share it - so thanks to: Angela McDowell, Trish Wooten and Jo Ann Leyva.
Be Wise – Minimize
Be wise
Minimize
Like downsize
All your supplies
You will shudder
With too much clutter
No word you can utter
If you are smothered
Just clear the place
To make more space
This could be the case
Of saving the human race
As you would assume
You will have more room
Then new life could bloom
And the energy would zoom
Just let it go
Toss and throw
To rebuild tomorrow
And watch it grow
So please guys
I emphasize
Be wise
Minimize

Watched the political debate
They parried well - like fencers
It will soon be time
to make up your mind, readers
But before you decide
take a brief fantasy trip
Re - read Tolkien's "Smith of Wooten Major"
Remember the star on his brow
Little do you know
what this world will bring you - what this world
will bring to America
Escape for a while!
it can ease your pain!
