Childhood Love

Childhood Love (Villanelle)

I remember that glorious day when we were young,
We played together and danced through time and space,
If only I expressed my loving thoughts with my tongue.

Our childhood love was written on the pulse next to the lung,
Your eyes shone, dazzled and glistened with grace,
I remember that glorious day when we were young.

You stood by the gate next to a paddock filled with dung,
My fearful state didn’t want to be kissed in your embrace,
A twelve year-old didn’t know what to do when love’s phone rung.

It was amongst the summer trees and by the river where we hung,
Even in the face of fear, I still loved beholding your pretty face,
I remember that glorious day when we were young.

I wonder if the birds noticed, their mouths chirped and sung,
It was as if time slowed because life happened at a slower pace,
If only I expressed my loving thoughts with my tongue.

Love can hurt and cooler guys pursued you; my teenage years stung,
Throughout your years I wondered if in your heart if I still had a place,
I remember that glorious day when we were young.
If only I expressed my loving thoughts with my tongue.

That Ship Has Sailed

“Oh that ship has sailed..”
Shaking his head, following her voice as it trailed
He smiles to himself, ’give it time’, he knew, rays of Joy crack through disdain

It was love at first sight, the surround greyed and paled
Spotting this electric eccentric, dancing in the rain
“Oh that ship has sailed..”

As time flowed by, he knew how they’d not failed
He is her best friend through all; hysterical laughter to anguish and pain
He smiles to himself, ‘give it time’, he knew, rays of Joy crack through disdain

She loves him wholehearted, though never been veiled
On the news of their daughter, he’d tried proposing, in vain
“Oh that ship has sailed..”

Now soo much older, their matured rich love haled
She is both bubbly and light, and a grumpy old pain
He smiles to himself, “give it time’, hew knew, rays of Joy crack through disdain

She turns to face him, happy laughter regaled
He takes her hand, “So about that sword cane…”
“Oh that ship has sailed..”
He smiles to himself, ‘give it time’, he knew, rays of Joy crack through disdain

Life is to sow, not reap

I wake one day, again for long to sleep
All life to find: if life or death is fake,
And learn, man’s here to sow, seldom to reap.

Death lives with life all through lifetime to creep,
Crawling along like a slithering snake,
I wake one day, again for long to sleep.

A faithful friend, keen life’s friendship to keep,
Death would never even dream, life to take,
Beware, life’s here to sow, seldom to reap.

Life’s just a tiny blip of time, no leap,
It strives in fleeting time the most to make,
I wake one day, again for long to sleep.

And live, forget, fail to find truth so deep,
Try to swim but sink in life’s shallow lake,
And learn to sow, sometime later to reap.

Life’s to garner light in every round trip
That faintly burnish hereafter’s dark stake,
I wake one day, again for long to sleep,
Life’s just to sow, let death decide to reap.

Patience My Friend

Tried by fire one could easily fall to the flame
But you endure and will come out stronger in the end
Sometimes the road doesn't leave us the same

Is this due to weakness or who is too blame
What is broken possibly will never fully mend
Tried by fire one could easily fall to the flame

In the course of events is where we play the game
We will be challenged to which direction do we tend
Sometimes the road doesn't leave us the same

In the end of our trials we can ultimately end in shame
Our morals and beliefs like dust in the wind
Tried by fire one could easily fall to the flame

However my friend in the end you gain your fame
Of your faith, hope, dreams and conscience you do not lend
Sometimes the road doesn't leave us the same

Triumphant, courageous, steadfast, all associated with your name
The very things you hold dear you don't break nor bend
Tried by fire one could easily fall to the flame
Sometimes the road doesn't leave us the same

On the Way To Where You Want To Go

I’m on the way to where you want to go.
Taking just any road will get you there.
Stop in for a visit to say hello.

Cruisin’ along just to feel the air flow,
Blown along and drifting toward nowhere.
I’m on the way to where you want to go.

Speeding on through the town’s yellowish glow,
With fraying nerves and emotions laid bare,
Stop in for a visit to say hello.

It’s easy to move with no one in tow,
But being all alone begins to wear.
I’m on the way to where you want to go.

When you have arrived will it end your woe?
Is the way lonely, an expensive fare?
Stop in for a visit to say hello.

Against the flow is a hard way to row.
Best not alone; it’s better as a pair.
I’m on the way to where you want to go,
Stop in for a visit to say hello.

I'Ve Always Craved For the Flickering Heart

I’ve always craved for the flickering heart
The type that shivers, shimmers but shambles.
No blazing heart could have sustained that part

I wonder why the light heart breaks apart
As if it has always sprained its ankle.
I’ve always craved for the flickering heart

I wonder why the light heart must restart
From where oblivion makes its mouth mumble.
No blazing heart could have sustained that part

This golden heart always seem to outsmart
The blind, dim and the wicked that grumbles
I’ve always craved for the flickering heart

This raging heart would always top the chart
As it darts out and suddenly tumbles.
No blazing heart could have sustained that part

The glimmering heart is what I call art,
Therefore, it’s rays of light would not crumble.
I’ve always craved for the flickering heart
No blazing heart could have sustained that part

I Couldn'T Say Goodbye

I found a friendship I can't deny
So with this heart
I couldn't say goodbye.
When I think of you I'll always remember how you
Sweet child celebrated my birthday and the fourth
Of July.
We shared what I saw in the sky
And water with my own naked eye
It was truly an objet d art.
I found a friendship I can't deny
For with you I could identify.
We had so much to impart
I couldn't say goodbye.
No matter how hard I try.
It seems we had a special connection from the
Very start
I found a friendship I can't deny.
I saw rainbows, dragons fly,
Met the ninja, Mr. Wizard, an Indian, and you
Dear pirate were the best part
The whole reason why I couldn't say goodbye.
I cry
As I say take care of yourself sweetheart.
I found a friendship I can't deny
There was no way I could say goodbye.

Tangled Webs

Should we write in form to make a shape
Or let our minds run free, associate?
Such tangled webs within the mind are draped

Oh, to run as free as antelopes
But from sharp tigers noone will escape
Can we control , disarm within a shape?

Love’s enacted falsely , making rape
Inside our hearts shall we recover hope?
Such tangled webs the curtained mind creates

Round the marbled minds we half dazed traipse
Wherever we go hunting, we’re too late
Can we control our fear within a shape?

Collapsing faith cracks , can we concentrate
Or from the deal , do we dissociate?
Such tangled webs of mind make ripe our hate

Now sex compels but will can’t procreate
Can kindness smile and friendship instigate?
Should we write in form when we love shape?
Our mingled maps of mind might mangle fate

The Mind Forgets

The heart expects promise
 Disappointment awaits the frail
 The mind forgets

Born to learn love, quick to forget that others feel the same
Internal battles, unseen desires wishing to be unveiled
The heart expects promise

Childlike envisioning of a possible flame
In another world that prevails
The mind forgets

Unnoticed help, unfixed blame
Friends, friends, friendship run off the rails
The heart expects promise

Unanswered, awaited, sought after, misnamed
No one listens to the dreams of the young
The mind forgets

Who remembers my name
You, her, over there, pale
The heart expects promise
The mind forgets

VALENTINE’s DAY

We are tied in deep bond of friendship.
Wish to observe Valentine’s day this year.
            We will enjoy emotive fellowship.

We are chained together in close kinsip
Not running in teens, each is senior.
We are tied in deep bond of friendship.

‘ll loiter, chatter, laugh, eat and gossip.
We care, we share, feel free with outlooks clear.
             We will enjoy emotive fellowship.

We will open Champagne to take long sip
Dear, in frolic festive mood we will cheer.
We are tied in deep bond of friendship.

‘ll sail on cozy boat not crowded ship.
Indeed, we are friends in need we can swear.
              We will enjoy emotive fellowship.

We will recollect our bygone courtship.
‘ll choose stylish gorgeous dress to wear.
We are tied in deep bond of friendship.
               We will enjoy emotive fellowship.

Premium MemberA Feeling of Hello

Hi there, greetings, just want to say hello,
well, how are you today and how are things;
does not matter if a person I know.

From a simple hello friendship can grow,
and sometimes a beautiful love it brings;
hi there, greetings, just want to say hello.

Even a nod, or sweet smile is nice though,
say a hiya with a wave and my heart sings;
does not matter if a person I know.

Oh, from across the room a kiss you throw,
and to that love thrown my heart and soul clings;
hi there, greetings, just want to say hello.

For a sweet embrace I would walk through snow,
battle with a thousand snowflakes with wings;
does not matter if a person I know.

For from hello a million things can glow,
and who knows when a friendship or love stings;
hi there, greetings, just want to say hello,
does not matter if a person I know.

Second Place

One of Lifes Pleasures

Pick a coffee mug
From the glass case. They come in all colors,
Shapes, and designs from all over the place.
I am glad family and friends feel safe and
Snug
As we pull the rush plug
And escape the rat race.
Pick a coffee mug
As we talk we pass around the coffee jug
This helps us to interface.
I am glad family and friends feel safe and
Snug
While sitting around my living room or on
My floor rug
As they drink the warm liquid their hands
Wrap around to embrace
A coffee mug.
It gives my heart strings a tug
To see all these smiling faces.
I am glad family and friends feel safe and
Snug.
As they leave we exchange hugs
And when the next coffee meeting will
Take place.
Pick a coffee mug
I am glad family and friends feel safe and
Snug.

Premium MemberCaretakers of Your Heart

Friends, like candles, enable you to see
personal faults, through sympathetic eyes,
and never flicker, should you disagree.

Even subjected to the third degree:
standing steadfast, they will not compromise:
friends, like candles, enable you to see.

Offering unflinching friendship for free,
friends, rejuvenate and revitalize:
and never flicker, should you disagree.

Applauding your accomplishments with glee:
although others tend to trivialize:
friends, like candles, enable you to see.

Caretakers of your heart, they hold the key
to unlock the virtues they recognize:
and never flicker should you disagree.

Pushing you to be all that you can be:
they even defend your outrageous lies.
Friends, like candles, enable you to see:
and never flicker should you disagree.

Not Just Any Horse

Pegasus my white winged friend
Please come to me.
I need to feel the wind
On my face as in to the night we ascend
To where the moon illuminates the stars away
From the lights of men where one can be totally
Free.
Pegasus my white winged friend
This is liberty
To feel the wind
Unpenned
It is a luxury.
Pegasus my white winged friend
I have missed the times we used to spend
On our flying sprees.
Feel the wind.
Oh! No. It is time to descend.
Until the next time we both agree
Pegasus my white winged friend
I will always need to feel the wind.

He Rides Above the Clouds

[Dedicated to the Memory of Chad DeLoy]

He rides above the clouds with no shadow,
Through the peaceful land of eternal sleep,
With all of his fellow bikers in tow.

Always keeping an eye on those below,
May all who have known him no longer weep —
He rides above the clouds with no shadow.

Moving swiftly, forever on the go —
Rising above hills, no matter how steep,
With all of his fellow bikers in tow.

He treasures your friendship more than you know;
May his company you forever keep —
He rides above the clouds with no shadow.

The sun reflects brightly off his window —
Through Lexington, the motorcycles sweep,
With all of his fellow bikers in tow.

He watches you all riding in a row,
Holding your memories of him so deep.
He rides above the clouds with no shadow,
With all of his fellow bikers in tow.
