Picture a dusty village road
Where two stubborn goats
One older full of pride
Another younger and very agile
Face each other on a narrow bridge
Neither want to back down
They lock horns in front of the whole village
Each claiming the right of way
On the edges, villager elders watched on
Placing bets on who fights better
Turning merchants for their goods
Whilst the drums of propaganda beats on.
But the bridge
thin and weary from the weight
begins to crack beneath their show down
and when it breaks won’t the whole village bleed from the fall?

"A rich is
always wise
____________
in the eyes
of villagers "
April 26/2023
By Alfonso Warally Ngengethe
Mussabwa Chris
Message:
Question in mind of majority
of poor people ....
How to succeed in life?
Many poor people always
Went to rich people for different advices
About success
And ended up being played
By the majority of rich people.
....A rich person is not a synonym
of Wisdom...

Mushroom village in tinsel town
Spins gold from everything that’s brown
I am amazed at the fey who live there
Having so much gold, they have no care.
Why don’t they share? Asks one who rarely does.
I cannot stop laughing at my selfish cousin, Little Cuz.
Why don’t you? I ask him, putting it right back.
He gets huffy and tries to give me a little smack.
I get away and go visit Mushroom Village again.
They like watching my mouth move and seeing my chin.
I am the only giant with a beard that they know.
Who can put on an exclusive soap bubbling show.

There’s Nothing Like a Good War
There’s nothing like a good war.
I watched a video of men killing men
Rapid fire, rapid death, rapid fear
When will we ever learn? Never?
It’s in our DNA and used against us
Goad a man, tell him his country needs him
Tell him, to go kill the villagers
Tell him, they deserve it. His gun needs
To by fired, it’s bullets like him are
Expendable, always more to take their place.
Nothing like a good war, a noble cause
Which has God firmly on its side
Thought up by a presidential psycho
On his yacht on a Sunday morning
While a calm sea and fresh breeze
Tickles the blond call girl’s hair.
A moment of boredom and an
Unprovoked attack takes shape.
A couple of weeks of genocide
Watched by a paid audience
Eating from the same trough
Wishing they’d thought of it first
No, there’s nothing like a good war
A gentle genocide, a worthy cause
A mother tells her son, fight or you’ll
Go to prison, certain death is much better
She gets his boots, ten quid and a
Medal. He gets eternity. Nothing like
A good war?

The villagers look silently on.
What good would it do to interfere?
They watch the young man as he pleads for his life.
The policeman in the black mask reluctantly shakes his head.
He tightens the string that secures the man.
The villagers – mostly women – join in.
What good would it do to interfere?
They slowly pick up rocks.
And the projectiles are off, whizzing through the air.
One hits the poor man in his head, spurting blood.
The villagers cheer when the man is hit.
What good would it do to interfere?
Yet a young girl hides between her mother’s skirts.
She silently cries for the poor man.
These happenings would cease in her time.
The villagers break away from the little girl.
What good would it do to interfere?
She stands up, and walks to the front.
She shouts her dissent.
Rocks pelt down.
The villagers hit her as well.
What good would it do to interfere?
She falls next to the man.
Shallow breathing emerges.
Both hoping for more.
The villagers walk silently away.
What good had it done to interfere?
She should not have done it.
The child is dead.
And the police are happy.

Villagers Storm Frankenstein’s Castle
By Elton Camp
Two hundred years the castle has stood
Occupied by barons, some bad, some good
Its dark shadow falling over the town
Few dared cause the noble baron to frown
But when the latest baron came into power,
Some of the villagers began to angrily glower
It was false claims they began to make
As a stand against the baron they did take
“This man has no right nobility to claim.
Why he even has a foreign sounding name.”
“It’s in an infidel religion he’s a believer.
He is actually a vile, dangerous deceiver.”
“We seriously doubt his claim to citizenship.
Both his position and title we’d like to strip.”
“Our fine land isn’t the place of his birth.
“He’s from a remote spot on this earth!”
“Our pitchforks and torches he seeks to ban.
It’s all a part of the baron’s dictatorial plan.”
The entire country they attempted to incite
To move against the castle in darkest night
If the baron they feel they should oppose
Give some real reasons, not any of those

Villagers Storm Frankenstein’s Castle
By Elton Camp
The huge stone castle looms high above the town
Night approaches & villagers uneasily look around
Yet another innocent of their number has been killed
With fear and a desire for vengeance they are filled
“It’s evil Dr. Frankenstein and the hunchback Igor.
We just aren’t going to put up with them anymore.”
An enormous, ugly monster has been lurking about
Frankenstein and Igor are to blame, there’s no doubt
In the graveyard, late at night, they have been seen
All swear they are doing things unholy and unclean
The villagers have had enough and ready to have a fit
Their flaming torches they very soon will have lit
They march en masse up to the hulking castle door
Torches thrown inside and soon it will be no more
What they don’t see is Frankenstein and his pal Igor
As they both slip quietly out of the castle’s back door
Then one day to the villagers’ horror and surprise
They’ll return, once again the populace to terrorize
