Your True Reality

Simple things are no longer simple
The ways of before should not be the ways of now
The direction must change
The course must bleed into the concept of structure
If the destination is the same
Like paths of resentment no real change can happen
If you walk in after a long day
And still see that man you perceive is still there
Then what ever success had a chance is just an instant failure
Refusing to look beyond what is seen now verus what was seen then
Is in essence you become blind to whatever could be looked upon now
The belief that the past is going to be the present and the future is unfair to both of us
You can write a list you can create a plan you can strive to be better people
But if all you see is a cage of resentment
Whatever was talked about is just a waste of energy
If all you see is that anger then that will always be your true reality.

Verus Amor

A painting will never love you back,
like a woman or a child

An opera may cause your heart to sing,
then leave you twice beguiled

Platonic zeal may fill the hours,
a pleasant interlude

But requited love will change your life
—and end your solitude

Christmas Holiday

Last christmas was hilarity filled family holiday,
Watching India verus Australia- perfect match of the day.

On the television set score was two-one-one for nine,
But then our joy mode just switched off to injury time.

We soon forgot everything about the sport,
When a tiny ant quietly crawled inside my brother’s short.

Meanwhile cricket match got over and India lost,
And I was looking at it while designing my yule cake with frost.

Shame on me!
I was watching all this with a glee.

Let this time Bah hambug!
And may he not again struggle with any ant, insect or bugs.

*bah hambug(as used in Christmas charol movie)- let this time passes away and this person get back his holiday cheers.

Verus

I can almost remember...
Taste it in the lyrics
falling from your lips.

Oh, and what a fragile thing it is...
We hold together memories
threads of the past.

Within brittle frames of mind.
Echoing off paper walls
caged somewhere inside.

And you've never been completely sure...
What's a rose reborn of sand
from what's an hourglass that's tipped.

But there's a taste within your words...
Like the broken webs of fairy-tales
burning into dust.

And if it's in your eyes it's dark...
But there's unwilling acceptance
in the coming of a storm.

How can you fight the war...
When insight is as forbidden
as the fruit?

The Other Side of Me

Here where I am seen as sane, my life in perfect form
The other side is breaking free, my darkness to be born
This battle for my sanity began in life before
The person who I am right now, verus the one I was before
I've had many conversations with the other side of me
Like "if I let you out right now, would you take over, eternally"?
Thunderstorms and lightening, black clouds and falling rain,
Altered state of vision, tainted love with pure felt pain.
To the edge of my reality and the brink of staying sane,
This inner war is raging, things will never be the same.
Soon this will no longer be my call, a decision will be taken
Whether into light or into dark, my soul be saved, or be forsaken
As the voice gets even stronger, in this battle fought within
I hear my dark side calling "open up and let me in"
